Maya's POV
We walked into the sitting room and sat down on the couch. Cameron was holding Annabelle's hand but he started giving her funny looks.
"You look different Annabelle" Cameron said
"I am different" she said
"What do you..." He started
"So Annabelle how long have you been a turned" the lady asked
"You're a vampire?!" Cameron yelled random up abruptly.
"Cameron just hear me out" Annabelle pleaded
"The love of my life is one of the blood sucking vampires who ruined our lives and you want me to hear you out!" He yelled
"Cameron!" The lady yelled
Cameron turned away from Annabelle and stormed out of the room. It was silent for a while as everyone watched Annabelle. Tears filled her eyes but she didn't dare let one fall.
"Dear don't let it get to you'' the lady said
"You don't know anything about us" she hissed before walking out the opposite way Cameron did.
"What's your name?" I asked
"Oh I'm Kim and this is my husband
John" Kim said
"Look I don't know who you people are or why you're here but I think you all need to leave'' John said
"We can't leave just yet'' Ruby yelled
"Well why are you all even here" Kim asked
"Look before you're kind invaded human homes Annabelle and Cameron were in a relationship. We just found Cameron for her please don't make us leave now!" Ruby yelled
Kim sighed and placed her chin on her hands.
"Fine you can stay for one week" Kim said
We thanked her before carrying all our suitcases inside.
"Ruby you're room is the first door on the right" Kim said
"And you're room Maya is the room right across from her" John said
Ruby and I made our way up the stairs with our suitcases, wanting to be settled in before dinner.
"Where do you think Annabelle is?" I asked
"Probably looking for Cameron. I feel so bad for her" Ruby said
"So do I. She doesn't deserve this" I said
When we reached our rooms I waved to Ruby then went inside to check it out. It was a smaller room than what I was used to lately but it didn't really matter. I set my suitcase on the bed and unpacked my clothes. I put them in the drawer and then put my suit case in the closet to keep some space in the room.
I flipped down on the bed and cuddled up to my pillow. I heard the door open to the bedroom. I lifted myself up onto my elbows to see Annabelle walk into the room with Lucien. She had red puffy eyes, she must have been crying. Lucien had his arm around her shoulder as he tried I sooth her.
"He just needs time to cool down" Lucien said
Annabelle nodded before taking a seat next to me on the bed.
'' he's just surprised is all Annabelle. He just needs time" I said
Annabelle just nodded again before walking out of the room to her room. What were we gonna do?
