"Get the fuck off me!" she said struggling to get his hands from around her neck

His hands got tighter around her neck.

"Ple-Please Stop" she forced out with tears falling down her cheek

His face soften up along with his hands around her neck

"Im sorry baby, I'm sorry" he kissed and tried to hug her

She didn't say anything, she ran into the bathroom and locked the door.

"Umm chris baby not right now"

"Why not?"

"We got to get ready for the baby shower"

"Do WE have to go" he said kissing her neck

"Can you at least give Cj a sample" he said smirking and doing this little thing with his eyebrows

"Got you mama" he jumped up running to the phone

Jaz yelled at her sister because whoever it was has been blowing her phone up and she just refuse to answer it for some reason.

"Nae let him explain he could have a good reason"

"No Fuck Him Jaz....Fuck Him! He left me AGAIN, he said he was gone be there for me jaz...just like trey, for better a worse my ass... they said they will be there" she cried "what's wrong with me sis, huh why I can't keep my man huh let along why I can't keep a baby" she broke down

Two hours into the baby shower the gifts was showed and everyone ate, now everybody was just mingling.

"I too want thank ya'll for coming out this mutha- I mean for coming to the babyshower to help us welcome our babygirl, we appreciate everything....also I got some I want to ask my someone special" he said sitting the mic down on the near by table

"baby you been riding with a nicca through all my bullshit and I appreciate you for not giving up one, I aint perfect and u still kept it real with me, you could've been with any of these niggas but you chose me... what im saying is " he got on one knee

Everyone gasped so did staci

"Will you Marry Me?"

"Yes!! Yes!! She hugged him

Everyone clapped and cheered them on

"oh my god" tete said looking at Jaz

I sat there as I watched the guy I grew up with, my best friend, but more so ever the man I was in love with get on one knee in propose to his girlfriend Staci. To say my feelings was hurt was an understatement, I sat there front in center ready to storm out, all kind of emotions ran through my body. I wanted so badly to break down and cry, but I held myself together, flashing a smile at the newly engaged couple. I looked around at everybody clapping and cheering while he and his new fiancé slow danced to the sound of Jagged Edge "Let's Get Married", I couldn't help but to think, that supposed to be me that should be me.

After their dance, everyone went over to them to congratulate them on their engagement. I didn't want to be petty, who I'm kidding I really did want to be petty but I can't do that. I drunk my glass of water I held in my hand, took a deep breath then walked over to them both. "Congratulations!" I said to the both of them and giving

staci a hug and then August. I swear this felt like the longest hug ever, and I didn't want to let go. I snapped into reality and before I knew it tears were falling, he pulled back looked me in my eyes, I cracked a smile and walked out the building. I was losing the man I was in love with.

Tete came running behind me

"Jaz wait"

I stopped and turned to her

"But how could he nae, huh..." she cried

"I don't know baby, I don't know"

"Just get me out of here"......
