The day of the memorial day party
Mia's pov.
It's so hot outside today! I'm out here in 95° weather with my sister, my mom, and her co-workers working hard to get this stuff set-up.
While I'm working I notice this girl that I used to be really good friends but we kinda grew out of us being 'bff's'. Her name is Jo. But she is with a girl I have never seen before. Maybe she doesn't go to our school? I don't even know.
"Girls!?!" My mom calls out.
"What's up?"I say
"Go out to that little park across the street for a little while. Thanks for the help!"
"Okay and anytime!" My little sister and I had a race to the mini park across the road and of course I won.
"Mia!!" A familiar voice says. I turn my head to see who it was and it was Jo.
"Oh, uh hey!"
"I want u to meet my new friend she just moved here this year, her name is Kiara!"
"Hi, I'm Madie, I guess u already knew that though."
"Ya I did, maybe we can hang out at recess 2morro and get to know each other a little more?"
"Ya that would be great!!" I'll see you guys around, bye!"
"Bye!!" They both said in unison
