What happens when
Someone just up and leaves you
A friendship interrupted
Based on misinformation
From liars and cheats
It creates a void
In the soul
You want to move on
And yet you can't
Unfinished business
Has you wondering
What truly happened
And why
What could have gone down
That a friendship went down
The tubes in a matter of hours
The truth is sometimes not
What one would expect
And as hard as it is to understand
Forgiveness for betrayal
Is still a must
Not for the person who chose
To dump you
At the worst time of your life
But for peace in your own
Soul and heart
I would love to know why
But the answer is eluding me
And perhaps that's just the way
It should be
So until our
Unfinished business has an answer
I shall move on
In the meantime
I forgive you
Wish you well in life
Go in peace
