Standing on

The balcony

Watching out to sea

In the distance

Something sparkles

Stars on land

Like little colorful

Fireflies growing out of

The mountainside

Some blink

While others are quite steady

Each light source

Represents a being

A person

A family

A home

Even in the middle

Of the equator

These little points

Of brightness

Stars on land

Make even the darkest

Places seem homey

As we pass and the

Multicolored

Multifaceted

Kaleidoscope

Of dots

Disappear into

The distant horizon

One must wonder

What it must seem like

For them

To watch us

Sail by

Do we look like

One giant beam of

Effervescence

Do they wonder

If we are looking out

At them

As they are at us?

One can only hope

That a comradery

Forms between sources

Of energetically enhanced

Power

So be it

Stars on land

Or

Stars at sea

We are one

And always shall be
