"Mom... Why are we moving all the way to Australia anyways...?" I mutter as we pull our bags off the baggage claim at the airport.
"Because your father has work here Taylor, I need you to under stand a bit better. I've explained this many times, and your sister is super excited. All you do is complain!" She snaps back at me quickly.
I bite my lower lip "Whatever..." I look back at my sister Carmen pulling on my dads arm trying to get him to hurry up. Honestly, I also wanted this to hurry up, I was getting severely impatient with this. Plus I had to battle school tomorrow, kids here will think I'm insane! I don't speak...Aussie or whatever!
"Taylor! C'mon we are going!" My mom ushers, I get a groan escape my mouth as I angrily step outside. I was immediately hit with a wave of heat, and a cloudy sky. Hot, but it looked nice, it wasn't exactly the desert I thought it would be. Weird, I thought it would be... Dryer.
I rush after my mom towards the car, "I thought... It was like a desert? But I don't see any sand or desert like...anything!" My sister the genius pipes up "Tay, the Outback doesn't take up all of Australia. It's also tropical. You know? Forest, jungle, beaches stuff like that."
We all get into the car, "Well, thanks for the info, Computer!" A little nickname I gave her when she started becoming the genius she is now. Which I was quite mad about when she started getting better grades than I was getting.
"Girls! Are you excited?" Carmen bumps around in her seat like an over excited dog, "Yes! Yes! YES!" Ok we get it... She's excited, "Not really... I'm not going to fit in." Trees and forest fly by in the window, I place my elbow on the arm rest of the seat and cup my face in my hand.
I guess this is going to be my new home. I can start over here, have a better life.
Hey guys! So yes, this chapter is quite boring but that's just because we haven't gotten to the exciting stuff yet! Which will start happening within the first 3ish chapters hopefully and then from there it will be all suspense 😂AND YEAH THIS IS AN H2o TRIBUTE!
