Denial

Your once mystical eyes
No longer see the same.
You've turned them into ice
They only show your shame.
Cracked like broken glass
Sharp as a dagger waiting for the war to pass.
Your fragile body cries for help.
Your soul denies that you're in hell.
You try to escape the cage around your mind.
But It redirects you one more time.
Your skin is pale like winter snow.
You've lost your vibrance but you don't know.
You tell yourself that you're not giving up.
Deep inside you're crying for help,
begging the demon to make it stop.
Your mind is cluttered with thoughts you can't fathom.
You're too ashamed of yourself
to admit that you have them.
Your delusions of your distorted reality,
Are causing your brain to neglect your self hospitality.
If you're lucky enough to survive this battle,
You may become a warrior,
but your soul will forever remain cold and fragile.
If you're ever faced with what seems to be a simple conclusion,
Remember please, it's only an illusion.
The moment you cave,
You're offering your life.
You become a slave.
You lose the fight.
You will become it's prey,
Once you let it inside.
It can never be tamed
You will never be all right.
You think you have a say,
Until it steals the light from your mystical eyes.
