CARTER POV
After a long, tiring discussion, we had formed finally formed a plan.
Piper, Jason, Luke, Annabeth and myself were going to leave to get the Greek gods.
Sadie, Percy, Hazel, and Frank were going to go get the Egyptians from the Greeks.
This was a cluster of nonsensical mythology.
Leo and Blake decided to stay behind and try to get Nico and Nicole back.
“Bye. Don’t die.” I hugged Sadie quickly (Hey, I’m her brother. It was the nice thing to do).
“Why does that always seem to be our farewell now?” Sadie asked as she pulled away and punched me. (Okay, so maybe hugging wasn’t Sadie’s style.)
“Don’t die either, I guess.”
“Thanks for the ‘I guess’. It’s nice to know you care about me so much.”
She didn’t say anything in response, and we watched as everyone gave his or her farewells.
“So long, dork.” Sadie said finally, taking her group out the door.
Annabeth looked heartbroken, Percy being in the other group. She shouldered her pack and came over to my side.
“Are we ready to leave?”
“I believe so.”
She sighed. “Then lets go.” She went around to the rest of the group gathering them up. “Carter I don’t know how we’re getting to wherever it is the gods are.”
“I have to assume that they’re being held captive in the daut. However the daut is huge, so they could be anywhere. I suggest we check the river of the night, they could be somewhere hidden in there.”
“There has to be a way to track down gods. We can’t search for them for eternity.” Jason stated.
“We’ll have to find some sort of way. Surely there must be some sort of way to contact the gods?” Piper asked our group.
Luke spoke up. “My dad is the god of travelers. Give me a moment, and I think I can find where he’s being kept. If we’re lucky the other gods will be with him.”

NICO POV
The place seemed to have no sort of science to it. Without warning Nicole and I thudded against the ground. I couldn’t see her for before when it was dark enough for black and white, now it was just dark. I couldn’t see a thing. “Nicole?” I groaned standing up.
“Nicole where are you?”
I heard a small whisper then a flame spurted to life.
“Nico?” The fire illuminated the scratched face of Nicole.
“I’m right here.” I said going to her.
“Are you okay?”
“I’m fine.” She lied. She obviously was not fine. “Are you okay?”
“Don’t worry about me. Stand up.” I helped her as she regained her balance.
“What happened?”
“The gate closed. We’re trapped.”
Her face gained a look of pure fear. “But Leo! I have to! I have to get back to him!”
She turned around in circles looking for a way to get up.
“Nicole it’s no-” She hunched over in pain, falling to the her knees and breathing heavily.
