You and Bucky sat on the couch in the new apartment. Steve, Thor, and Natasha had helped the two of you move the boxes. Clint couldn't help (Something about an archery competition at a middle school. He kept bragging about how he knew he could win.), Bruce was afraid of helping due to stress reasons, and it was Tony's turn to give everyone the Winter Shoulder. Bucky was lying on the couch, his feet propped up on the coffee table. You sat cross legged holding his hand. You both felt very tired. The living room and the other rooms were filled with boxes that needed to be unpacked.
"It has been a long day." Said Bucky. You smiled as he yawned.
"It most definitely has. At least James went to sleep without fussing." James was asleep in his crib in the room that had been Steve's when the two of you had lived there.
"I would suggest that we get to bed so that we can get up early and get to work, but the sheets are in a box, and we forgot to label the ones that aren't clothes." Said Bucky.
"What? I thought you and Steve had that under control?" Bucky chuckled.
"We were gettin' bored so we just started to shove stuff in boxes. It was fun! We tried to see who could get a box filled faster. Steve beat me a couple times, but I was the champion!" He looked over to see you glaring at him. You were not amused. He smiled sheepishly. "I love you?" he said with a hopeful look.
"Is that a question or a statement, Soldier?" You asked, you face softening a little.
"A statement, M'am. A very true statement that I mean with all my heart." He grinned at you.
"Ok, Soldier. You're off the hook this time, but consider this a warning. Next time you slip up you'll have to do push ups." Bucky leaned over and kissed you on the cheek. He stood up and walked over to one of the boxes.
"You know you love it when I do push ups." He said. You laughed and stood up too.
"We'd better get started. It's going to be a long night."
-----------------------------
The next morning, you woke up on top of Bucky. You groggily looked around you. You two were on the couch. You thought back to the night before. Some time around 4:45 you two had ha enough and went to "bed", which in this case was the couch. There obviously wasn't enough space for both of you, so you slept on top of Bucky. You didn't mind though.
Bucky was still asleep when you woke up. His face looked peaceful, and he was softly snoring. You ran one of your hands through his soft hair. He finally started to stir. His eyes fluttered open, and he stared up at you and smiled.
"Mornin', Dearest." You leaned down and have him a soft kiss which he returned.
"Good Morning, Sweetheart." He smiled and tried to sit up. You rolled off of him and sat on the edge of the couch. One he was in a sitting position, he held his arms out for you. You stood up and went over to sit on his lap.He wrapped his arms around you, and you two sat peacefully as he rocked both of you back and forth.
Then James woke up.
You both heard cries coming from the bedroom. Bucky swore under his breath. You stared at him.
"What was that?" You asked him wide eyed. He nervously ran one of his hands through his hair.
"I guess I've been spending too much time around Fury and Tony." You tried to stand up, but he didn't loosen his grip. He tried to bury his face in your arm. "No, don't leave me."
"Buck, our son is calling for us. I need to go get him." Bucky gave you the puppy dog face. "Buck, please let go." He muttered something about James Jr. being inconsiderate and loosened his grip. You stood up and went into the bedroom.
