THE FALSE NIGHT

Chapter 2

"Fredrick...Anne. Your breakfat is ready. Come down." Maisie called her kids while dialling the number of Shaun on her phone. "Come on Shaun...pick up the phone." She whispered to herself.

                       Fredrick and Anne came down with their bags in the dining room for their breakfast. Suddenly , Fredrick shouted, "mom, mom! Dad's on T.V. Maisie rushed to the dining room, being tensed and her eyes took no time to set on the T.V.
                       She began to murmur the headlines of the news to herself, " the CEO and founder of multinational company T.S.U, Shaun William, is critically injured in a road accident last night, while there was a theft of the golden head worth 30 billion dollars and......oh my god! I have to leave now."

                      "Mom ...what happened to dad? Is he fine?" Asked the little girl Anne as she didn't knew what was in the news but knew that something had happened with her father. "Yes my dear girl. He is totally fine." Said her mother trying not let Anne know the truth.
                         Anne was just in the 2nd grade, so she didn't understood much about accidents and thefts etc. But Fredrick was older enough to know about these things well. So Maisie knew that she couldn't hide anything from him.

                         "Come on kids. You're getting late for school." Said Maisie taking the car keys. She couldn't help herself hiding the tension of her husband's accident. She wanted to cry but she couldn't in front of her children. She could only think of Shaun. But meanwhile, she was thinking something else too.
                          Maisie took out the Audi from the stilt, as Shaun took the B.M.W last night. She drove fast to the Maryland International high school and dropped the kids to their school. "Bye mom." Said both the kids and Maisie nodded her head and drove to the Clinton hospital.

                          "Can I please know in which room is Mr. Shaun William admitted?" Asked Maisie to the receptionist, restlessly. She checked on her computer and replied,"room number 10, towards the left." "Thank you." Replied Maisie showing her tensed expression to the receptionist. She walked towards the room and opened the door.
                             As she was just about to step in, the doctor inside, stopped her and said,"Lady, you can't come inside at the moment. Mr. Shaun William's situation is very critical. I can't allow you to enter."

                            She nodded her head and backed towards a chair outside the room sat there, and broke down.
