[Both] - You need to give it up,
Had about enough,
It's not hard to see:
The boy is mine.
I'm sorry that you,
Seem to be confused;
He belongs to me:
The boy is mine.
Astrid brushed some of her bangs out of her blue eyes. She was definitely going to win this battle.
[Astrid] - Must you do the things you do?
You keep on acting like a fool!
You need to know it's me, not you;
And if you didn't know it, girl, it's true.
"Must you always do stuff like this?" she asked, giving you a fake concerned look. "You're just making yourself out to be a fool! You need get into your head that I'm the one, not you."
You just gave her a glare in return.
"Oh, don't give me that look. You know it's true," Astrid defended sassily.
[You] - I think that you should realize,
And try to understand why,
He is a part of my life.
I know it's killing you inside!
"Actually, what you need to realise," you started pointedly, "and understand is that he's a permanent part of my life. Don't worry," you put a 'reassuring' hand on her shoulder, "I know it's killing you inside."
[Astrid] - You can say what you wanna say,
What we have you can't take.
From the truth you can't escape;
I can tell the real from the fake.
Immediately shrugging off your hand, the blonde snarled, "You can say what you wanna say and think what you wanna think. But, what me and him have, you can't take. You can't escape from the truth, no matter how hard you try, 'cause I, unlike you, can actually tell the difference between the real and the fake."
[You] - When will you get the picture,
You're the past, I'm the future.
Get away, it's my time to shine:
And if you didn't know, the boy is mine!
"When are you gonna get it into your head that you're the past and I'm the future?" you countered. "You need to step back, because I'm the real deal here; 'cause, if you didn't know; he is mine!"
[Both] - You need to give it up,
Had about enough,
It's not hard to see:
The boy is mine.
I'm sorry that you,
Seem to be confused;
He belongs to me:
The boy is mine.
The two of you glared at each other, hands on hips, blue eyes boring into (e/c). The both of you were determined to win and neither was willing to back down.
[Astrid] - You can't destroy this love I found,
You're silly games I won't allow.
The boy is mine without a doubt,
You might as well throw in the towel.
"I've already told you once, you can't destroy what we have," Astrid declared defiantly. "This is a stupid game you're playing, and I won't allow it. He's mine, without a doubt. So you may as well just give up now."
[You] - What makes you think that he wants you?
When I'm the one that brought him to,
This special place in my heart:
'Cause he was my love right from from the start.
"So, what makes you so special, huh?" you questioned. "Why would you think that he wants you? You were only there for three years, I was there for the full eighteen. So, I'm the one that brought him to that special place in my heart. Don't deny it, Astrid - he was mine right from the start."
[Both] - You need to give it up,
Had about enough,
It's not hard to see:
The boy is mine.
I'm sorry that you,
Seem to be confused;
He belongs to me:
The boy is mine.
Astrid's glare deepened at your very valid argument. Seeing this, you couldn't help but let a small smirk make its way onto your features. You didn't know for sure, but you had a feeling that you were now leading in the fight.
[Both] - You need to give it up,
Had about enough,
It's not hard to see:
The boy is mine.
I'm sorry that you,
Seem to be confused;
He belongs to me:
The boy is mine.
The two of you didn't know how long it had been, what time it was or whether anyone else was awake or asleep. Although, it wasn't like the two of you cared that much.
[You] - The boy is mine!
[Astrid] - Not yours!
[You] - But mine!
[Astrid] - Not yours!
[You] - But mine!
[Astrid] - Not yours!
[You] - But mine!
"He's not yours," Astrid stated bluntly. You scoffed in reply.
"But he is mine," you countered.
"He's not yours."
"But he is mine."
"I could do this all day," Astrid challenged.
"Me too," you replied.
"He's not yours."
"But he is mine."
"He's not yours."
"But he is mine."
"But he's not yours!"
"But he is mine!"
"Sorry, girls, I just forgot my notebook." The two of you snapped out of your glares as soon as you heard the sound of the guy that you were both fighting over.
"Hiccup!" you both cheered happily, trying to make your faces seem as bright as possible.
"Hey, I was just looking for my notebook," Hiccup explained, not noticing your overly-plastered smiles. "I think I left it in here by accident. Have you guys seen it?"
You and Astrid briefly looked around for the notebook, with Astrid shouting out a triumphant, "Why, here it is, on the desk! Let me just get it for you."
Astrid picked up the notebook and started to make her way to Hiccup, only to be intercepted by you.
"Why don't I give it to him?" you 'decided', snatching the notebook off her and elbowing her in the gut when she tried to fight back.
Speed walking over to Hiccup, you placed the notebook in his hands, deliberately brushing your fingers against his.
"Thanks," he said, giving the two of you his signature lopsided smile which made you and Astrid inwardly swoon.
"Uh, it's getting quite late," Hiccup went on to say. "What are you two still doing up?"
You began to stutter, thinking of an alibi. "U-um, uh—"
"Oh, just talking!" Astrid interrupted, wrapping an arm around your shoulder. "Y'know, like girls do!"
You (begrudgingly) faked a smile and nodded, making Hiccup slightly raise his eyebrow in question, before shrugging it off.
"Okay, well, I'll be heading of now," Hiccup said, starting towards the door. "Make sure you get some shut-eye, girls!"
"You too!" You and Astrid chorused, making Hiccup chuckle slightly as he walked out of the hut.
As soon as you were sure he left, you immediately pushed Astrid's arm off you and gave her a glare. She returned it and, without either of you saying a single word, the two of you walked out of the hut, giving each other evils all along the way.
When you were both out, you turn and walked back to your respective huts, each with a faint statement leaving your mouths:
"The boy is mine."
[Both] - I'm sorry that you,
Seem to be confused;
He belongs to me:
The boy is mine . . .
