When you think of a word, a picture pops into your head as if your mind is defining the word itself to you by sending you a picture or a memory you have archived into your brain.
Here, I'll give you an example,
When you think of the word terrorist, you would think of 9/11, Muslims, Osama bin laden, the Middle East, Muslims, Islam, ISIS and Muslims. No one can deny this.
And the funny part (if there is any) is that I do not blame you.
This kind of propaganda is fed to us day and night in our media and society that I guarantee you that no one can tell me in a straight face that it isn't true.
Or that Islamaphobia isn't true.
Or that I, a 16 year old Muslim Arab American girl, am overreacting.
Me, overreacting?
In a society where a horrific person such as Donald Trump can be so close to running the highest office in a powerful country like The United States of America?
Donald trump. A racist rich bigot who's definition of a "great America" is only run by the rich white people in this country, his "great America" has to build a physical wall to show how powerful he is.
Nah, I don't think I'm "overreacting."
Not at all.
My name is Hanan Mohamed
And no, I'm not a terrorist.
I'm just a high school student who sometimes overdoses on Netflix, You know when Netflix actually sends you a pop up to ask you if you're still watching, or in other words still alive from all that tv show binging.
Yeah..you know what I'm talking about.
