(Yeah I know that part three was awful and I’m really not satisfied with it. It didn’t turn out the way I wanted and I didn’t enjoy writing it. So sorry for that but let’s move on and look forward shall we? Here’s part four enjoy :D )

“Salvatoria wake up, there’s ship. We have to go, NOW!!

You slowly opened your tired eyes and yawned. You felt that it was early and it was cold. You hated mornings and you didn’t want anything else but to stay in bed for a few more hours.

“Wake up lazy, we’ll miss it and if we do Duxia will kill us” You processed what your friend said and opened your eyes wide. You knew that Duxia wouldn’t kill you she was strict but not cruel. But you had to admit that she was scary when she was angry. You got out of bed in a swift movement and you two headed off.  You silently left your huge home through a backdoor. You called it home but it had never felt that way, it was a cold place where there was no room for feelings. You had taken care of yourself since you were twelve. You avoided your mother and your two brothers. You barely spoke to them. You spent all your time with your best friend Astra. You had been friends since you both were very young. She was the daughter to one of the maids working in your house.

You looked at her in front of you, she had always been faster than you. Her coal black hair flowed and seemed like it had a life of its own. She had many suitors but she neglected them all claiming that she searched for true love and that she wouldn’t settle down until she found it. You were lost in your own thoughts and didn’t notice that Astra got farther and farther away. Astra turned around and her dazzling yellow eyes met yours. Her eyes had inspired countless poets and bards and she had numerous songs and poems dedicated to her. You got pulled out of your own thoughts when she screamed “Hey! I know that you’re slow but this is slow, even for you” You heard the laughter in her voice. “Shh! don’t scream so loud, wait until we’ve left the city” you said. She was always so reckless but that was one of the things that made you friends.

“We left the city almost fifteen minutes ago, where have you been?”

You sighed and laughed. The rest of your journey was quiet. The tension built up more and more and soon you could feel it around you.

Around this time it was usually quiet but not today. You heard screams and cries for help. Some voices disappeared and some intensified. As you got closer fewer and fewer voices could be heard. When you finally reached the ship, it was too late. The sailors were already dead. The ship was on its way down and there was nothing you could do about it. You made your way to the others who watched the scene. But unlike you they had participated in the massacre. You recognized the back of a man you swam to him.

“Quick catch today?” You asked and made sure that he didn’t hear the disgust in your voice. He turned around and you knew every line in his face. He looked a lot like you. You had the same mouth, the same nose and your hair was the same color, red. You both had long hair but he had his tied up in a knot and you let yours flow free as most other females. The thing that separated you from each other was your eyes. While his eyes were blue and cold with no trace of love in them yours were brightly green, filled with joy and lust to live.

“Oh! Little sister you’re finally finding your way to one of the raids. Mother will be proud of you” He smiled but it didn’t reach his eyes they were as cold as always.

You nodded a goodbye and left with Astra. You swam through the gathered men and they all bowed and said “Your grace” Sometimes you hated being the princess of the merpeople.

You were the princess of the merpeople and a descendant to the famous Ariel. She was the one who set the standard for the raids of ships. She ruled with iron fist until she died at the age of 94. After her death her son took over and after him your mother. You and your mother both looked exactly like Ariel and while she loved it you hated it. You didn’t want people to see her when they saw you. You had never met her but you did in fact hate her. Ariel had been a cruel ruler and she was very afraid of being deposited so she murdered her sisters, all six of them.
