Chapter 16- Learn The Basics Of Fun From Me

Start from the beginning

I didn't think I was going to get out of that one. What if they all suddenly broke out into a sad song about friendship and lies? I sure wasn't going to join in, what was I going to sing anyways?

'You are a girl, but that wasn't meant to be said,

It was supposed to stay in my mind but I'm like a Jelly-head,

So believe me when I say I'm so sorry,

And have a jelly-bean...' I imagined myself singing then having a fist shoved in my mouth to make myself shut up.

I felt Tar tug my arm and saw that she was frowning, I furrowed my eyebrows at her, "What's up, Tar?"

She sighed, glancing at the way Keith went, "Jess, I think the game's going to be boring since Keith said we were going to play Monopoly," She muttered.

I wrinkled my nose, "What? Monopoly? The grandpa game?"

She snickered, "Yeah..."

Monopoly, was seriously the most lame game ever. All we had to do was sit around, pretend to buy and exchange, and I have no idea how in the world that's considered as fun. In the end, the one with the most paper wins. What was this? Politics?

Everything was fake, if I'd be getting a property for real then I'd actually like playing something like that. But since I'm not, I'm going to toss the board-game out the window.

"I'd rather watch paint dry, I bet that's a lot more fun," I snorted.

Tar looked amused, "Well, what're you going to do?"

I gave her a devious grin, "It's not something I'm going to do, it's something we're going to do," She looked confused, "Don't worry, just wait and watch,"

Keith came back with the board-game, Gal and Francine behind him. Gal looked a lot more cheered up now, maybe Francine convinced him that she'd pretend he's manly just for his sake. At least there wouldn't be a rain cloud hovering over his head throughout the game.

Keith moved the coffee table aside to make room for us, and placed the board-game on the floor. We took our places and Keith started to set it up.

This time, I was in the middle of Tar and Francine, the guys sat across from us. And I saw biker-dude glaring at the floor, probably since he was the one sitting across from me. I smirked, the unfortunate boy.

My plan was still firmly planted on my mind, I wanted Keith to set up the board first, just so I could reconsider my thoughts about Monopoly.

As soon as the board was set up, my eyebrows shot up in surprise as I saw that the 'chance' and 'community chest' cards were replaced by the cards of 'truth' and 'dare'.

Was this his idea to try and make things interesting?

My expression changed to a bored one, the idea of Monopoly still wasn't appealing enough. I snatched the stack of 'dare' cards off of the board.

"You're not supposed to read them before playing the game!" Keith protested, trying to snatch the cards away from me, I shoved his face away.

"Well, we're going to know sooner or later, why not now?" I asked.

"It will ruin all the fun,"

I snorted, "There wasn't any fun to begin with," Keith shoulders sagged in defeat as he started muttering under his breath.

The others gathered around me as I read each card, my eyebrows furrowed as I went over them. What the heck was this?
