Des POV

Mal, Evie, Jay, Carlos, Ann and I went to make the love potion.

"All right. It says that we still need one tear, and I never cry" Mal said. I grabbed and bowl mixed everything together for the love potion.

"Let's just chop up some onion" Carlos suggested, taking an onion from a bowl

"No. It says that we need one tear of human sadness. And this love potion gets the best reviews, so we follow it exactly." Mal said.

"A tear's a tear." Jay said. I took the onion from Carlos and through it at Jay's head.

"Actually that's not true Jay. They both have antibodies and enzymes, but any emotional tear has more protein-based hormones that a reflex tear." Evie said. I smiled while Jay was glaring at me.

"Listen to you" Ann said. Jay and Carlos started bickering about who knows what until a girl walked in.

"There you are Mal, I was looking for you." The girl said. The girl saw Ann and I.

"Hi, I'm Lonnie. Nice to meet you."

"I'm Des." I said.

"I'm Ann" Ann said. Lonnie turned back to Mal.

"You know, all the girls want you to do their hair" she said to Mal then look at the bowl.

"Midnight snack? Whatcha guys making?"

"Nothing special, just cookies" Ann said. Lonnie dipped her finger in it and snatched a taste.

"No no no no, wait wait wait!" We all yelled

"What? I'm not gonna double dip" Lonnie said.

"Feel... anything?" Evie said.

"Yeah like maybe it might be missing something?" Mal said. Then Jay leaned against the counter.

"Hey there." I rolled my eyes at Jay

"Could use some chips" she said, after Jay's flirting.

"Chips?" Jay asked.

"And those are?" Mal asked.

"Chocolate chips, just the most important food group" She poured chocolate chips into the bowl. "Like when you're feeling sad. And they're fresh from the oven, with a big old glass of milk, and she just makes you laugh and puts everything into perspective and..." She stopped.

"Why are you all looking at me like that?" Mal shook her head and started stirring.

"It's just different where we're from" Mal said.

"Yeah I know I just you know I thought... even villains love their kids." Lonnie said.

"Oh" She gripped Mal hand. "How awful" a tear ran down her face. Mal saw and quickly flicked it into the bowl.

"Yeah, well, big bummer, but we have to get these into the oven so thank you so much for coming by, really, really have a good night. I'll see you tomorrow. Evil dreams." Mal push Lonnie out.

"Good night" Lonnie said

"See you tomorrow" Mal sung, she turned back to us. "Okay, boys, cookie sheet. Evie, oven. Des and Ann, scoop."

"On it" we all got to work.
