When I was about to turn the corner a small figure hit me. The person, whoever it was, had touched my wound, making it sting even more. When I looked down at the little body, it was a girl with brunette long hair. She was pretty tall, not taller then me but pretty close. Her books were all over the floor after she fell on her back.
"Ouch." She caresses the back of her head, probably where she hit herself after she fell.
When she looked up at me her eyes widen and I could see her small tanned hands shaking. She sat on her knees, gathering all her stuff. I bend down, keeping my eyes on her, taking up a few other notes that were too far away from her reach.
"Here." I held out the notes to her.
She looked at me, still not uttering a word and took the notes with her shaking hands. "T–thanks." Just like her hands, her voice was shaky too.
I smirked, "Next time," she looked up at me, meeting my eyes. "Watch where you're going."
I pushed pass her, nudging her arm walking away from her. She had been frozen in her spot, probably still shaky when I walked away.
"Jerk."
I heard a little voice after me. I turned around seeing her looking at me with wide eyes. She gulped. "Excuse me?" I walked up to her, not caring about personal space. Her big brown eyes were filled with fear. I guess she isn't really the one to stand up for herself.
"What?" I raised my voice. "Cat got your tongue?" It was pissing me off that she was afraid of me. I would never hurt a girl in that way. I have never hurt a girl and I will never do that. I mean, yeah, I've broken their hearts, but never have I hit a girl.
"I–I said j–jerk." She finally choked up the words making me smirk.
"Oh really?" I said, using my husky voice and walking closer to her. She kept walking backwards until she hit the wall.
"Please, just...leave me alone." She looked down, not meeting my eyes.
"Hmm," I looked at her. Her hair, body, face and I even tried looking at her eyes. Not really my type. "Not really my type." She looked up, furrowing her eyebrows.
I took a few steps away from her and smirked, "I'll see you around, Shaky." I walked away, leaving the girl behind me.
When I came to my locker the guys were already there. Brandon, Billy and Zay. "What's up guys?" I stopped in front of my locker, opening it.
"Aye, man!" Brandon patted my shoulder. "You missed some night."
"Yeah, it got wild after you left." Zay filled in.
"Missy was going crazy looking around after you." Billy informed me. "We told her you left but she was rambling on about us wanting to have her and that we lied about you leaving." He shook his head, eyes wide open. "That girl is crazy."
I laughed, "I wasn't on the party mood, guys." I locked my locker, leaning against it. "I just needed some sleep. I haven't been sleeping good these few nights." I sighed, hitting my head on the locker.
"Yeah, we get it." Zay said understanding whilst the others just nodded. "Let's do like this; you get some sleep, skip or whatever, just get some sleep. Then we take you to a bar, club whatever. You name it." He smirked proudly. "What do you say?"
I shrugged, "Sounds good to me."
His smirk fell, "Good?" He raised his eyebrows. "Come on man, I really thought about that. Give me something more, not just good."
I chuckled, "Fine. Sounds fantastic!" I made a little cheer in the end. "Happy?"
He nodded, "Now? Yes."
"Riley! Maya!"
My head snapped towards the voice, it was Farkle. The little genius in our math class. He was running over to two girls with a grin. One of the girls had long blonde hair and the other had long brunette hair. I furrowed my eyebrows, trying to get a better look on the brunette when I saw it. It was the girl from earlier. She had a huge smile on her face, laughing with her friends.
"What you looking at?" Zay asked, looking in the direction of the girls.
"Oh I see," I looked over at Zay who was smirking at me. "Which one, Lucas? Blonde of brunette?"
I rolled my eyes, "The brunette, Zay." He knew I had a thing for girls with brown hair but this time, I wasn't checking her out. I was just trying to get a better look at her. Like i said, she isn't my type.
I nudged Zay's arm. "Aye Zay." He hummed in reply.
"Who's she?"
He looked over at the brunette, "That?" I nodded. "That's Riley Matthews, Mr. Matthews daughter. Why?" He asked confused.
I smirked, "She looks like a girl that would fall for someone without even trying." It slipped out of my mouth. I played girls, it was one of my many habits. And this one looked like someone I would make fall for me in a week.
"She is the most innocent girl in this school. She hasn't been together with one guy," he said raising his eyebrow. "And you think that you can make her fall for you?"
I snorted. "Yeah. I have girls all over me, all the time, and I don't even try. This will be easy." I smirked, looking at her up and down. She was cute. Not really my taste.
He shook his head. "Good luck with that, Friar."
I raised my eyebrow at him. "Is that a bet?" He nodded and laughed. I stuck out my hand for him to shake and he did.
"Game on, pretty boy."
