**A/N: Um, hey guys.. I haven't been on in a while, woah. This is new. I'm trying something out, a hockey fan fiction. I kind of love hockey, just saying, and the Blackhawks are my favorite team. So, let's do this! The first chapter is really short, I'm aware, but I thought it was a nice, quick opener. Also, I'm doing something else new. I will have a song to listen to for every chapter! Chapter 1
"Patrice! We have to go! You're going to be late to practice!" I yelled up the stairs at my older brother. We both woke up late and we needed to catch a taxi to the rink for practice. We can't drive yet, but this year is the year we can apply for citizenship and get our licenses! "Coming" Patrice grunted, hustling his hockey bag down the stairs and grabbing an apple on his way out. Breakfast of champions! I grinned as we walked out the door to the waiting taxi.
