36. Distant

Not my favourite but enjoy.

Your Point Of View-

Michael has been acting really weird.

It's like he's getting more distant with me.

Actually with everyone.

Right now he's on tour.

Usually he calls me every chance he gets. I know he's busy. But when I called him Frank picked up the phone and said that Michael wasn't doing anything.

He even said that he was distant to everyone.

I sit at the kitchen table thinking about what could be wrong.

Maybe it's because he hasn't seen me or his family for a while.

But if that was the case he would've called us any chance he gets. So it can't be that.

One of the cooks walks into the kitchen.

"Hello Mrs. Jackson." She says.

"Laura you know that we aren't married." I say.

"Oh sweetheart. Someday you will. But for now, would you like me to make you something?" Laura asks.

"No. I'm not very hungry right now. Michael has been acting different lately."

"Ah boy troubles. My daughter had those when she was younger."

I smile at her.

"So what's happening?" She asks.

"He's just being distant." I tell her.

"If I were away from my family for that long I would feel alone. Have you thought about that?"

"No."

"Well call him." She says " I'll be in my room."

I pick up my phone and call Michael.

-Phone Convo-

M- Hey

Y- Babe. I miss you.

M- I miss you too

Y- What's wrong?

M- Nothing

Y- Michael please tell me

M- I just don't want to do this.

Y- Do what?

M- Be away from you.

Y- Michael. Baby. You'll see me soon.

M- I got to go.

-End Of Phone Convo-

That's odd.

Not even an I love you.

Something is obviously wrong.

The door bell rings.

I walk up and see that it's Katherine.

"Hi!" I smile and give her a hug once she's in the house.

"Hi Y/N."

"What brings you here?" I ask.

"Well I thought you might want some company. Also Michael hasn't really called me. I was wondering if he has talked to you." She says.

"Oh thank you. I haven't heard much from him either." I tell her.

"That's odd."

"Yeah it is. So what do you want to do?"

"It doesn't matter. I don't have anything to do. I'd love to spend time with hopefully soon to be daughter in law." She smiles so big while saying those words.

We walk around the grounds of Neverland. Just talking about random things. She tells me stories about Michael. We even ride on the carousel.

Soon we eventually get tired and return back to the house.

We were busy talking when soon I look up.

"Michael!!!" I run up to him and hug him.

His mother smiles.

"Hi Y/N. Hi mom." He says smiling. Just like his mother.

"I missed you so much." Katherine says hugging him.

"I missed both of you." He gives me a kiss on the cheek.

God I love him.
