Not Human Just An Elemental (Draft)

Chapter Two

Flara Flare~

I woke up with the sound of Kira's voice as she taps on my bed annoyed, "I already told you, she is out with a fever... No I understand. No, of course I know what I'm doing but-..." She sighed as she tried to calm herself but she didn't, "Now excuse me but are you a healer...? I didn't think so and I prefer if you don't step into my life trying to tell me how to do my job. She is sick, deadly sick and I personally can not do anything about it. Don't you dare tell me I haven't been taking care of Clara! I see her like my own daughter, refrain yourself now Principal Logan. You need to back off before you lose your nurse. When she wakes up I will send her back to class but if she doesn't I will personally take her home. Goodbye sir...." She hung up and sighed.

I sat up slowly and I felt dizzy. The world is spinning but I sit there for a moment just hoping that the world would stop spinning. Kira looked at me with wide eyes as I put my hand on my forehead.

"Clare, you are awake..... How are you feeling?" Kira's concerns were pleading out of her eyes and soul as she stared at me.

"I'm dizzy but alright-" before I could finish what I was saying, Mora came in and started checking me. They were worried but I didn't understand why, I felt fine just dizzy. They laid me back down and sighed.

"You really need to be mo-" Mora said as she touched my forehead. Pain shot through my body causing me to wince and let out a loud scream. It was so loud that moments later Iris came running into the nurses office.

"What's going on? Why aren't you guys doing anything?! You two are nurses! Do something about it!" Iris said screaming at them.

"Iris calm down!" Mora said as Kira tried to soothe my pain. Kira pour water on me and I flinched. Fear rose through my body, what if in rejecting water again?

"Calm down? Calm down! Look are her! She is in pain and you just want me to calm down?!" Iris got frustrated and took out her needle full of fairy water and stuck it into me. My body slowly starts shaking and then relaxes and I fall back into a slumber but still hear them talking.

"Iris what did you just do?" Kira said as she softly stroked my hand.

"It's called Water Replacement, it's not going to kill her. I'm a water fairy, obviously that should help you guys out. We use it back where I'm from, it helps the water fairies when the sun gets to hot, it also is used when people reject water. Clare always rejects it after awhile, it's a scary scene because when she gets in pain she thinks she is rejecting it. Sometimes water can be a tricky one to deal with. She is the element and her body can react different." I hear Isis say as she leaves to go back to her classroom.

"Isis, thank you." Kira said with a smile.

"No need to thank me." Isis said and the door closes.

"Mom, we can't just leave her asleep all day. We have to do something!" Mira said frustrated with the situation. Knowing her she has her hands on her head and is about to break down with tears boiling up.

"Mira, don't you dare cry... Lets check her status and see if anything changed. I know it's hard, trust me. I know because I have been raising her for awhile now, you know this. Now come on," Kira said and I left them begin to touch me on my arm.

"Least her temperature went down. Wonder what happened," Mira said as she puts her hand on my forehead.

"Clare was probably rejecting water, maybe she was dehydrated and her body decided to reject it." Kira said and Mira laughed a little.

"Mother that's a silly idea, she is the water element." Mira said with a giggle.

"You didn't listen to Isis at all now did you?" I know Kira is raising her eyebrow.

"Ugh, mother! I listened just she isn't a doctor." Mira said biting her lip.

"Ah yes, but Isis did manage to calm her body. So she must know what she is talking about." Kira said calmly as Mira muttered something.

Time passes and finally I can open my eyes. If Isis wasn't here, I'm not sure what would have happened. I sit up and the dizziness and everything that was wrong before had either disappeared or decreased. Kira and Mira did there normal checkup again, checked my temperature, my water levels and asked me questions. I was getting ready to stand when Erik walked into the room.

My heart literally just skipped a beat as I stare at him. To make it worse, my body just wants to collapse. Maybe then I could be in his arms again. I decided to hold myself up just long enough for him to wrap his arms around me.

"You had me worried beautiful," Erik whispered into my ear.

Yep there it is, that same feeling that drives me insane.

Kira didn't like the idea of me staying at school so she took me home for the day. Iris eventually came home and cuddled up next to me. Her normal routine when I'm sick. Before we could converse we fell asleep.

Iris being all jumpy as usual was the first on up and made a lovely breakfast before she ran to go wake me up. I come out to the kitchen to see pancakes and a smoothie prepared for both of us.
