"Sure, then we don't have to get the kids ready. If you want to stay home, I can get groceries?" He offered.

"No, I'm fine. I won't be too long," I grinned, giving him a quick kiss, "Text me if there's anything in particular you want."

"Okay, thank you baby," Joe smiled.

I passed Noah to Joe before getting my bag.

"Shh, Mummy will be right back," Joe comforted Noah as he fussed a bit.

"I love you Noah," I smiled, kissing his forehead.

Noelle was busy playing so I said good-bye quickly before leaving and heading to the market.

It feels weird being out and doing errands on my own. I'm used to either having Joe or the kids with me.

"Minx Levins? Is that you?" I heard a familiar voice behind me.

"Damon! How are you?" I smiled, giving him a hug.

"I'm great. Just moved to this side of the city for a job," He nodded, "How have you been?"

"Really good actually. Settled down and got married," I nodded, smiling.

Although Damon is my ex-boyfriend, we were family friends for a while and I think it's been long enough for us not to be awkward around each other anymore.

"Married, eh? That's good to hear! I've been dating my girlfriend, Elaine, for a while now, she's wandering around here somewhere," He laughed lightly.

"Damon!" A petite black-haired girl, about our age, smiled.

"Here she is," He nodded, "Elaine, this is Minx. Minx, Elaine."

"Hi, nice to meet you," She smiled, extending her hand to me.

"Nice to meet you too," I grinned, shaking her hand.

"Well, we'd better continue shopping. Keep in touch, yeah?" Damon suggested.

"Yeah, alright," I smiled, before giving him a side hug and continuing to shop.

I finished buying what we needed and I got the kids some more snacks and got Joe and I a pack of beer.

"Do you need any help carrying your bags to the car?" An extra cashier offered.

"No thank you. I'll be fine," I nodded.

I pushed the small trolley out to the car and loaded the groceries in before setting off back to the flat.

"Mummy's home!" Joe smiled, holding Noah and getting up to help me unload everything.

"Come on baby!" Joe smiled excitedly.

"I'm right here!" I laughed, holding his hand, as he lead me in the bathroom.

"Look-"

"Aw, Joe," I smiled, "What's all this for?"

"Just for us," He shrugged.

"Aw, sweetheart," I giggled, cupping his cheeks and giving him a kiss.

He had filled the bath up with bubbles and lit candles around the tub. It was just really sweet of him to think about doing this for us.

"Dada!" Noelle whined as he ran through into the bathroom.

"Come on 'Elle, time for bed," Joe breathed, picking her up and carrying her out of the bathroom, "You relax, I'll put the kids to bed."

"Okay," I smiled.

I returned to the room and got undressed, putting on a small robe to wait for Joe.

"D.amn," Joe laughed lightly.

"Oh shush, I didn't want to get in without you," I laughed lightly.

"Come on," He smiled, leading me into the bathroom again.

He untied my robe and I let it fall off before I started getting in the warm bath.

"Well, come on then," I smiled, motioning him to join me.

Joe undressed and got in the bath with me.

"I love you," I smiled, turning around so I was leaning against his chest.

"I love you too, Minxie," Joe smiled, kissing the back of my head.

"Joe, do you think we're good parents?" I asked quietly.

"Of course. We've managed to take care of two children so far and we're a lot younger than most other parents with two kids," Joe nodded, "Why'd you ask?"

"I don't know. Sometimes I just worry," I shrugged.

"Relax, and let loose. They're both asleep and it's just us two," Joe hummed.

"Oh, I forgot to tell you. Guess who I saw at Asda?" I smiled.

"Oh God. Who?"

"Damon," I giggled, knowing Joe would get a bit jealous.

"What? Your ex-boyfriend?" Joe asked.

"Yeah!" I laughed, playfully.

"F.uck off!" Joe laughed, knowing I was teasing him, "What'd he have to say?"

"Just said hi and introduced me to his girlfriend, Elaine."

"Good," Joe laughed lightly.

"I told him I was married too, so no worries," I laughed lightly.

"Never stopped Eric or Rory," Joe muttered.

"Really?" I groaned.

"I know. I'm sorry baby, we've moved on from that," Joe quickly apologised.

"What the h.ell Joe?" I said, getting angry.

"Minx, I'm sorry," Joe said.

"No, it's fine," I shrugged, getting up and getting out of the bath.

I grabbed a towel and went to get dressed.

"Minx, I'm sorry," Joe apologised.

"That's not fair and you know it's not!" I yelled.

"That's why I'm apologising," Joe breathed, tying a towel around his waist.

"Whatever," I breathed, ignoring him and putting my pyjamas on.

"Minx," Joe breathed.

"No, Joe. Not now," I shook my head, getting into bed and turning off my lamp.

"Okay," He nodded quietly.

I turned my back against Joe and fell asleep.

I feel a bit bad for getting angry with Joe. But I thought we had resolved those problems and it just wasn't fair for him to bring up Rory. Especially not after everything that has happened.
