''Okay, let's go.'' He whispered back and placed an arm around my shoulder, leading us away. I could feel Oliver's gaze digging holes on our back and I desperately wished the ground to swallow me whole.

We headed home silently and I kept replying the meeting with Oliver Parker in my mind. Everything that I had expected went wrong. Turned out, he wasn't as nice as his face and his voice sounded scary when he was angry. Why did I embarrass myself like this?

We reached our house and instead of going in, I sank down on the porch stairs and started to cry. Rhodes dropped our bags and sat down beside me,

''What is wrong with you? Stop crying Quinn!'' He was flustered by my sudden outburst,

I wiped my cheeks. I was the whiny one amongst two of us and with Rhodes, I always cried so easily, ''I'm...so...freaking...embarrassed.''

Rhodes sighed and wrapped his arms over my shoulder, rubbing my shoulder gently, ''He's an asshole, what's there to be embarrassed about?''

That was the problem. He turned out to be as asshole and he called me a stalker with the angry expression. And me being the dumbo I was, couldn't even defend myself. I should have screamed at him, told him he was wrong. Instead I stood there like an idiot, letting Rhodes defend me.

''What's wrong with that?'' Rhodes demanded. ''Remember when Lars said I looked like a haystack in seventh grade? You fought him as well! You even pulled his hair, it was like a unisex cat fight.'' The memory made me chuckle,

''I know, but...''

Rhodes took my face in his hands and wiped it with his sleeve, ''It's okay to not be able to say anything. You were probably taken aback and there's nothing wrong with it. Fight him next time okay?''

I nodded, sniffling. There won't be a next time, Oliver Parker was never looking at my face again and I was never ogling him again. It was stupid to admire his voice and to think he was good looking. Why did I ever say that to Rhodes?

''Okay, I'll have a unisex cat fight with him, next time.''

Rhodes smiled, ''He's an ass Quinn, don't let him ruin thing for you.''

My stomach grumbled and we both looked at each other before we burst out laughing. I hadn't eating since afternoon and I was starving. Rhodes dug in the brown bag and took out a carrot, he split it into half and handed the smaller part to me,

''Hey! That's cheating!'' I didn't want to go in yet, I wanted to sit out there with him for a little while longer. Just me and Rhodes, like always.

''The idea was mine, I get the credit.'' He took a bite of his, crunching the carrot in his mouth and I did the same.

''We're having the next session in two days, Dad thinks Mr. Flynn might ask us to sing.''

''Wait, I nearly forgot to tell you something!'' Rhodes said, straightening up.

I cocked my head, ''What? Did you start dating someone without telling me?''

''Your mind is forever in the gutter. No, I'm not dating anyone. It's about your birthday.''

Surprised I blinked, I had totally forgotten about that, amidst of the Camp and the Oliver Parker fiasco. Rhodes grinned,

''You're going to love this. I got you a birthday present.''

''You always get me one Rhodes, what's new.'' I said dryly and ate another chuck off my carrot. The carrot tasted bland as expected, but Rhodes seemed to enjoy it.

''No, this is something different.''

''If it's a blind date, I'm going to kill you.'' I warned,

''Jeez Quinn, let me talk already!''

''Okay, time to shut up.'' I said and placed a finger over my lips,

''There is a bar in Wellersburgh, and the owner turned out to be my aunt's friend!''

''And?''

''They said we can perform there for a night if we want. They invited some indie band, but they said if we wanna do some sort of pre show? For like half an hour?''

My eyes widened and my jaw dropped, ''If it's a joke Rhoderick, I'm going to stick calling you Rhoderick till we die.''

He smirked, ''It's on 15th June, right after your birthday.''

I jumped at him and squealed in delight, his arms came around me and we crushed each other with a hug, ''I can't believe this Rhodes, how did you manage to do that? Oh my God, I'm going to die of happiness.''

''Don't die, we have a performance to plan.''
