Chapter 18: School again

Marco's POV

"Marco, Marco!" someone said. "Wakey wakey!"

I opened my eyes to see Star poking cheeks.

I rubbed my eyes and said, "Morning Star!"

"Come on sleepy head! We have to go to school!"

"But it's Saturday!"

"It's Friday silly!"

"Oh... It's Friday." I muttered.

I got of the bed and got ready for school.

(Time skip to school)

"And that's why I have a dozen of hoodies." I said.

"That's cool." Star said.

Then someone stopped us on our tracks.

"Well well well, if it isn't Marco Diaz and Star Butterfly." Jackie said.

"Hey Jackie." I said.

"Star, I've got something to discuss with you!"

Star's POV

Jackie pulled me away from Marco.

"I'll wait for you in the classroom." Marco said before I completely lost sight of him.

Jackie continued to drag me past all the classrooms and students until we reached the garden, where we were alone.

"Listen Star," Jackie said. "Do you have any idea what Marco and I talked about?"

"No."

Jackie sighed. "The truth will hurt you."

"What do you mean?"

"Marco told me that he hates you."

"What...!"

"It's true! He said that you were the most annoying punk he's ever met."

I couldn't say anything.

"Oh yes, it's true Star. He also mentioned that you were always a jerk and a stupid liar."

"Marco would never tell such a thing." I said trying to hold back my tears.

"But he did tell me such thing." Jackie said sadly.

I still tried to hold back tears, but I gave up. It was too much for me.

"Here Star," Jackie said as she held out a tissue. "Fell better."

"Thanks Jackie..." I sobbed.

Why would Marco back-stab me? He was my best friend... Why would he do that?

"Did he want you to tell this to me?" I asked, drying up my tears.

"Sadly, yes. He didn't want to tell you personally." Jackie said.

"THAT'S IT!" I said, furiously stomping away.

"WHERE ARE YOU GOING?!" Jackie yelled as she ran after me.

"Boy, Marco messed with the wrong girl." I muttered with tears still in my eyes.
