Chapter 2: Confessions

Star's POV

As I walked with Marco home, thoughts swirled in my head.

"I think Marco has feelings for me..." I said inside my head.

"What was that?" Marco asked.

"Wha? You heard what I said?" I said, surprised.

"Yes, it was something about me." He said.

"Oh I said 'I think Marco was peeling a banana for me" I lied, but remembering a while ago he was peeling a banana into a bowl but I did not know what it was for.

"Okay... Sure" Marco said.

I can't do anything but smile at him.

Gah, that was weird.

"Marco," I suddenly said.

"Yes? What it is Star?" He asked.

"Do you well... Like me?"

"Of course I do! Why would I buy ice cream for a person I hate?"

"Haha very funny Marco" I jokingly said.

It made Marco giggle too.

"Star, awhile ago in the park, I lied on what I was supposed to say..." He said.

"Me too, I kinda lied on that banana thing awhile ago..."

We just stared at each other.

I had to think of a distraction to get this issue out.

"Oh look!" I quickly said. "What's that thingy?"

I pointed at robot-thingy.

"Oh that, that's just our neighbor's robo-dog." Marco said.

"It looks cool! Let's go check it out!" I said with a smile.

"Okay Star, make it quick cause I have karate in 25 minuts" Marco said looking at his watch.

I ran over to see the robo-dog.

"HI FRIEND!" I shouted at the kid who owns the thing.

He just waved back awkwardly.

I bent down to see the robot. Aww... It was cute!

I waved and said "GOOD BYE!" To the boy and skipped back to Marco.

And we remained silent until we reached the house.
