Ji Eun was in the midst of fainting again. But her determination overcame that, she wouldn't dare to embarrass herself further. Looking at the situation in hand, Su Bin would kill to be in her position. Absolutely now. Right when her best friend's ultimate bias was gazing at her with a genuine, worried expression that would make any girl's heart race.

This was only what cheesy, romance movies are made out of.

But, why was she thinking of that at this moment?

When Ji Eun woke up, she honestly thought she was in heaven. It's not every day someone would open their eyes with EXO's Byun Baekhyun showered with blinding light before them. But once coming to her senses, she realized she was in an unfamiliar room. Scanning her surroundings, it looked to be in an infirmary.

Finally conscious seconds later, scenes of earlier flooded into her mind; delivering the chicken to SM, meeting Byun Baekhyun, and fainting... She sat up quickly on the bed, causing her to see stars.

Wait, the idol in front of her was real. And so... Everything that happened must've happened as well.

Was she supposed to gasp in shock or groan from mortification?

"Don't freak out, you're in the nurse's office. Are you ok?" Baekhyun asked her, the concern evident in his voice. Ji Eun rubbed the back of her neck, and nodded in reply. "Jesus Christ, you scared me! I didn't think you'd actually faint." He pointed at her with a stern look, startling her with the sudden nagging. "You're lucky that I was able to catch you. That would've been a nasty fall!"

Ji Eun's eyes bugged out at the statement. "You caught me?" She squeaked out. The memory of her being enveloped in warmth before she fainted then came to mind.

So that was what it was. Bakehyun caught her before she could hit the floor.

"Yeah, I basically saved your life." Ji Eun couldn't help but scoff at the ridiculous claim. "But the chicken you brought might not be as well off."

"What happened to the chicken?"

The idol let out a guilty chuckle. "Well, it was between you or the chicken. I doubt you would like it if you woke up with a bump on your head. But the boys probably wouldn't like the spilled side dishes and the messed up rice and chicken..." The explanation warmed Ji Eun's heart. At least she knew she was worth more than teriyaki chicken. "I didn't mean to shock you, totally not my intention."

The short-haired girl dismissively waved him off. "No, it's ok. I have low blood pressure to begin with! So I'm more prone to faint more than others," she explained, as she threw her legs over the side of the bed.

Baekhyun stumbled out of the chair onto his feet, blocking Ji Eun from leaving. The girl jolted back, not really expecting his rash actions. He even held out his arms to fence her in. "The company nurse said you should rest a little longer."

Ji Eun glimpsed around the room. On the wall, she spotted a clock. Her stomach churned in realization of how late it was. "It's 10:48!" She shrieked, her eyes back on Baekhyun. She had been stuck in SM Entertainment for more than an hour. "My father is going to kill me!"

"Don't worry! We were able to call your dad and we had the nurse talk to him on your phone. He said he'll be coming over as soon as he could," Baekhyun replied to calm the frantic girl.

Ji Eun's face contorted into confusion as she sat back down on the bed. "How were you able to call my dad?" Baekhyun stiffened at the question.

As far as she knew, she didn't assign a fingerprint unlock feature for her phone. She had a difficult passcode instead to unlock. It was very unlikely that the EXO member knew what it was.
