I woke up in the back of a vehicle with my hands tied behind my back. I looked around but it was pitch black outside. Beside me I barely made out a figure.
"Blade?" I whispered nudging the person
He groaned slightly as if he was just waking up.
"Amara?" He asked
"Yea"
"Where are we?"
"In the back of a vehicle. That's all I know." I told him
"We were hit by that damn blue Prius" he said
"Yup"
"Your okay?"
"Just a small pain in my ribs. Besides that I'm fine. What about you?"
"Im already dead. I can't be harmed by anything" he told me
The car got quiet. I realized they had the radio on but turned it off.
"Your both awake back there?" A female voice that I recognized asked us
"Again with you kidnapping me? I thought I was cleared off your demon list" I said to her
"You were. But my brother was not" she told me
"Genevieve" Blade said
"How are you brother?" She asked
"Dead" he told her
"Oh sorry about that. But at least your back for the time being" she told him
"You killed him?" I asked
"Under the circumstances we were in, I had to" she said
"Where's Adrian?" I asked
"Oh daddy Adrian is no more. I took care of him this morning" she said with a slight giggle
"You are a sadistic bitch" Blade said
I couldn't find my voice. I fell into my own little world. Adrian is dead? Maybe she's lying? Even if she is, it still hurt to think he was gone.
I didn't notice I was crying until I felt Blade wipe the tears off my face. His hands were tied together in front of him.
I felt something well up inside me. Something strong and powerful. It started from the pit of my stomach and spread throughout my body. The back of the car gradually started to light up and Blade was staring at me wide eyed. The power built up until I directed it towards Genevieve. With a primal scream that was coming out of my own throat I hit her with all I had.
Her and the whole front of the car was gone. I blasted the ropes off my wrist and untied Blade. I kicked the back door open so hard it flew off the hinges. I floated out of the car and into the night sky. A blue light was around me. Blade was on the ground just staring at me. I saw a path that I knew led me to Adria and I followed it. Blade had to run to keep up with me. I wasn't stopping until I got to Adria . The fact I found his trail meant he was still alive. Relief flooded my body as I followed the trail. I found their facility easily. I landed nearly on the ground. With one flick of the wrist I blasted the doors off. I walked in and was immediately met by the equivalent of a swat team. I easily took them out as I headed to where Adrian is.
He was in the same cell I was locked in when they had me, except it wasn't dark.
"Adrian" I said
He looked rough. Almost like he has been crying. He slowly looked up and his eyes almost popped out of his head when he saw me
"Amara" he whispered
I pulled the door off with strength I didn't know I had. Blade came running down the hall to us. Adrian looked at him for awhile like he was trying to figure something out.
"Father" Blade said
Adrian looked between Blade and I.
"You found my son?" Adrian asked me
"Well he found me"
Out of no where Adrian rushed to me and hugged me tight. I hugged him back just as tight.
"I thought I lost you" he whispered in my ear, his voice giving me goosebumps
"You almost did, Blade saved me" I told him
He let go of me to look at Blade.
He put his hand out and Blade took it. Adrian pulled him to him in what was referred to as the bro hug.
"Thank you for bringing her back to me son" Adrian said
"It was all her that got us here" Blade said "it was kind if scary. She was a walking demolition ball"
I laughed as did Adrian. His laugh made me smile more
"As much as is like to stay here and chat, we need to get moving" I told them
"Your done blasting people?" Blade asked
"Not quite" I said and my hands started glowing blue
"I always knew you were different" Adrian said as we walked out of the building
"It's weird that I instinctively know how to use this power" I told him
"You can't get rid of me that easy" and angry and slightly charred Genevieve said
She was standing in front of us. Her blonde hair was black from where I blasted her. Her clothes were burnt almost completely off. Her normally perfect skin was covered in pink and red welts. Her blue eyes glowed red. It looked like she just crawled out of a burning building.
"This is the prophecy" I heard Adrian say
"Does this mean we get to return to our home?" Blade asked him
"Only if Amara wins" Adrian said
"She won't win" Genevieve said
"Watch me" I said
With a flick of the wrist I sent a blue lightning bolt towards her. She redirected it back towards me but I dodged it quickly.
"Adrian. Blade. Go. Now" I yelled at them
"Not happening. I'm not leaving you again" Adrian said
"Awe how touching. I guess I can actually kill you. Don't worry blade, I'll kill you again as soon as I can"
"She killed him?" Adrian asked me
"Not the time. Trying to fight I'll tell you later" I told him sending another lightning bolt to Genevieve
She didn't redirect this one. She narrowly dodged it
"I and going to slaughter you all and bathe in your blood" Genevieve growled at us
