It was a peaceful and bright morning at the Hidden Leaf Village today. The pinkette medical ninja, Haruno Sakura, found this quite odd and she wasn't very used to Konoha being back to its usual quiet and serene self. It was a good thing of course, she thought happily. It was like the old days and the first step of their genin days where nothing else mattered beforehand rather than to become a chuunin and prove yourself to be a real ninja.

She studied hard back then, though she may admit she was having a hard time applying everything she learned from books and scrolls, she was always below compared to those two members of their team, yet it didn't matter anymore, it was the past after all, and she was glad she improved a lot compared to the twelve year old fangirl who only cared enough about being a ninja mainly to impress him and be one of the best.

Sakura was in the hospital today, assisting patients inside along the way, but she wasn't really here for that. She became a medical mentor a few days ago, being assigned by Tsunade-sama herself, it was an assignment she couldn't refuse. After the war, the village had been busy restoring their own places and own businesses, but if you'd ask the pinkette, she'd say it's a lot more busy here at the hospital.

Many shinobis, as well as villagers, had been affected and needed medical attention. Sakura volunteered to help, but Tsunade assigned her to be a mentor instead, believing she'll be most of help if she taught medical rookies the basics so that they'll be assigned to different patients to help out.

She demonstrated some basic skills of healing to the rookies who took their field in medicines, pursuing their dreams, and possibly being motivated by their encounter at the war at their young age. The pinkette is somehow happy though that these kids today were a lot stronger, not letting the unpleasant sight take over their being.

Sakura watched her students one by one as they focused their chakras on their hands, practically pointing it towards the immobile small fishes lying on the flat metal tables of their own, smiling inwardly as the individual fishes of her students slowly flips their scaly bodies on the table. "Put it back to the water right away after you're done reviving it." She reminded, carefully studying the looks on her students' happy faces when they've done it, too happy that they probably forgot to make the fish breath on the water.

A gentle knock at the door behind Sakura had caught her attention. The pinkette reminded the students who were done reviving their fishes to help their classmates who haven't yet, before she proceeded with leaving the room. Shutting it carefully, she walked towards the left sharp turn, sensing a familiar chakra wanting to be followed.

"Shizune?" She spoke softly.
"Sakura, I was asked by Lady Tsunade to summon you at the headquarters." She said abruptly.
"Then why didn't you just say so." The pinkette chuckled, finding it silly like Shizune looked suspicious. Sakura scratched her head, expecting something different or more than this.
"There's one more thing," Shizune suddenly added when she was about to take one step back to the training room with her students.

"Sasuke just woke up,"

The sudden information caught her attention alright, though she managed to restrain her gasp from being audible. She didn't want anyone to think she'd been waiting for his awakening. Though admitting by herself, a feeling of rushing excitement, nervousness or whatever it is, ran through courses at the pinkette's slim body. After the war, Naruto and Sasuke's body badly needed medical attention, Lady Tsunade herself attended both of them and Sakura was assisting her too and a lot more of experts and experienced medical ninjas.

After the surgeries and treatments that went successful, both of them were still in a deep rest for almost a week. Two days ago, she remembered, that she was hugged tightly suddenly when she was on her break by Hinata with tears on her eyes, tainting her pale cheeks. A soft murmur escaped her lips, informing the cherry blossom that Naruto was finally awake, and how she was so relieved.
