***Sunday***

I was pretty nervous. This was my first lesson with Reese! What do I wear? "Oh relax. You wear sweats Maya. Duh. "I thought to myself. I was slightly freaking out. I needed to relax. Reese text me the location. It was on campus about 5 mins from the dorm. So I put on my baggiest sweats, short sleeve tee, some workout sneakers, got my sports bag, and headed to my destination.

When I got there a couple mins late, there were 2 other girls and 2 guys there. Reese was chatting with one guy when I stepped into the room. he then turned around and flashed his perfect smile to me.

"Hey Maya. I was waiting for you. Glad you came."

I blushed a little. "No problem. I wanna see what you got." He grinned and then introduced me to the rest of the people.

It was a great lesson! I'm glad I went! Reese taught us how to block punches. We worked with each other in pairs of twos. I even got to work with him which was pretty cool. I was packing up my stuff when Reese came over to me.

"Hey. Are you busy for the rest of the day?"

"Nope not really. I finished all my homework already. Why what's up?"

"I was wondering if you want to get some food with me. Im pretty hungry from this intense workout."

I was shocked. Beautiful Reese potentially asking me out on a date? Then I thought to myself, yeah I'm pretty hungry too. I shall take him up on his offer.

"Yeah, sure. I'm pretty hungry as well. I'll get freshened up. It won't take a while." I said reassuringly.

"Sounds good. So, I'll see you soon." He said smoothly.

****

I got ready in less than 30 mins. I must have been really excited! Reese picked me up in front if the dorm and we were on our way. It was only 8pm and we had a lot of time on our hands. I wore military boots, a plaid shirt, stonewashed jeans and a cardigan since it was pretty cool outside. It was Fall after all, my favorite season.

Reese wore a navy blue henley shirt, grey jeans, brown Clark's and a brown leather jacket. His beard was perfectly groomed, and his brown hair was perfectly put in place. Perfect...he seemed to always look that way. Even during the lesson...he still managed to look flawless even when he was covered in sweat!

I was trying to register his beauty as we drove along the road. The full moon shined right down on us. Reese broke the silence and started conversation.

"You look really nice. I like your boots."

"Thank you." I tried not to sound to excited, even though I was flattered. "So...where are we headed?"

"This place called Amablés. It has amazing spanish food. You're going to love it."

I loved his confidence. And I did love some Spanish food... Jay and I would always cook it together.

When we reached there, he got out his car and walked over my side of the door to open it. "How sweet of you! Most guys don't do that nowadays."

"I'm not like most guys." He said with a wink. Now that I saw him standing up, he looked divine. His jacket fit his muscles just right, and so did his pants. He was so put together I had to smile to myself. Taking my hand with his, he helped me out the car.

When we finally got our food the real conversation began. I hadn't talked to him much since the two weeks that I met him, and I wasn't even that nervous to have a conversation with him, which was rare for me. There was something about him... something different, but good.

"So Reese...what are you?"

I caught myself and then realized that my question was too broad.

He had a slightly puzzled look on his face when I quickly popped up and said, "...I mean, like, your ethnicity. Your background."

He looked like he finally got what I was saying. "Oh! Ok, guess what I am."

"Well...you look hispanic, definitely. So I would say Puerto Rican?"

"Bingo! You're good. I'm also Brazilian and Morracan."

Wow, what an interesting and exotic mix. That's why he must be so gorgeous.

"And what is yours, if I may ask?"

"Oh, I'm Jamaican and Irish. I guess that's where these blond streaked curls and changing eye colors come from."

Reese laughed at what I said. I was serious but I guess he thought I was sarcastic. Oh well at least I made him laugh.

"I see. And your curls and eye colors fit you perfectly."

I blushed again. Damn him!

I'm not a dumb girl that was going to fall for his sweet talk. Been there done that.

"Why do you compliment so much?"

"I like to give credit to where its due. I feel like people should know the great qualities they have...because some people don't realize how great they really are."

Wow. That struck me deep. He is a deep thinker which was a huge plus. Or at least he comes off that way.

"Good answer." I said.

So we kept talking, laughing, having a great time. The food was delicious too.

"This food is amazing Reese. Thanks for taking me here."

"No problem Maya."

We got into where he was from. He moved all over the place since his father was in the army as he was growing up. He told me he didn't really have much friends as he grew up. He never got bullied, he was just really shy. But he broke out of his shell his Junior yr of highschool. Its like he totally transformed and became a more confident better version of himself.

"I realized that I couldn't be that way anymore. I had to better myself. And my Dad really encouraged me to stop being afraid and step out of my comfort zone."

"Ahh, how sweet!' is all I could think.

"You know, its a funny story about how my parents met. My Dad met my Mom at Wanders University. He was suppose to graduate a year before but he was a double major and double minor, so he had to spend an extra year. Then she came, as a sophomore, during his extra senior year. He told me that he thanked God for spending an extra year in school, or he wouldn't have met the love if his life. He was 23 and she was 20. They got married 3 years later. They've been married for 25 years now and are still going strong. They're the best relationship I've seen In my life and I totally admire them. I hope for a love like that someday."

He blushed a bit. He was too cute! He also revealed himself to be a hopeless romantic which I didn't expect from him. He looked too good; I expected him to be the player type.

"Sorry, I usually don't tell that story. But their love is so inspiring to me." he said still blushing.

"Wow. that is so sweet. You're a really great guy. And I'm sure its going to work out for you...I'm sure your going to find your true love."

Reese gave me a huge smile.

"Thanks Maya, your pretty awesome yourself." He said as he proceeded to nudge me on the shoulder.

"Ow! You bum." I said jokingly.

This was one of the best dates ever.
