Prom Day

"Y'all run back here again and I'm beating that ass !" I yelled at my younger cousins who were running around by my room

"Raquel, do you have to curse so damn much ? Jesus Christ" Mama walked in my room

"I know right, she has such a potty mouth" Ayanna said as she put the last flexi rod in my hair

"They running around too much and if they mess something up, I'm beating that ass" I put that black bonnet over my head

"Stop fucking cursing in here" She popped me with a comb

"You just cursed though"

"Because I'm grown"

"You grown, I'm grown" I mocked Mally

"You wanna mock him, you can get treated like him"

I stood up out of the chair I was in and went to push it to the other side of my room. The little rugrats were now outside and my Aunt Tyra sat on the couch where my Uncle Benny and older cousin Giselle was. My dads family would show up later on.

"You don't look like you going to prom, you look like you going to the grocery store with that bonnet on" My uncle Benny looked at me

"I still have some free time and I would like if you would get out my business" I rolled my eyes "Annoying ass" I mumbled

"You got one more time to curse like that in my house and I'm gon' tear yo ass up" Mama eyed me

I rolled my eyes and pulled out my phone to text Avi and Gotti. They dumbass was supposed to be over here thirty minutes ago. How long does it take to pick up a prom dress ?

"Where your friends at ?" My aunt Tyra questioned

"They was supposed to be over here almost 30 minutes ago"

"We back" The front door opened revealing the two with my dress

"Fuck took y'all ass so long ?" I walked up to them

"Dumbass don't know how to drive" Gotti rolled her eyes "We almost got in a accident"

"That car shouldn't have cut in front of me and I wouldn't have almost ran it off the road" Avi said as she handed me my dress

"Where's the earrings ?" I questioned

"What ear— oh, I knew I forgot something" Avi hit her forehead laughing

"Shit not funny Avi" I gave her a blank stare "Where the keys, y'all don't know what y'all doing"

"Here angry pants" She handed them over

"Mama, I'm coming right back" I yelled before walking out the house after two idiots

"I'm never sending y'all to get something again" I said

"It's Avi's fault" Gotti shrugged

"It is not, I asked you if we got everything and you replied yes" Avi argued
