Friends I've lost

The art of losing isn't hard to master.
It is, however, nothing short of a disaster.
Nothing you say will put me in a fluster.

I've practiced losing farther, losing faster-
Names, numbers and even memories
That everything now seem so filled with the intent
To be lost (and still a disaster).

But time has taught me that
Although I have lost many things, places
And even you, I am a survivor.

So now, I know the art of losing
Isn't hard to master, and to keep you
Would have been even more of a disaster.

A/N: This was inspired by ONE ART by ELIZABETH BISHOP, one of my favourite poems of all time.

Some people are just destructive to us so at the end of it all, we should (and must) let go.
