Harry's POV

The week went by, boring me into oblivion of what was actually happening around me.

We ate a lot of dinners with Liam and Niall. Like, all of them.

Liam's starting to lose his strength. I'm not sure if it's the medication or just him in bed the entire day, perhaps a combination of both, but Louis and I have talked about setting something up on their back porch to try and lift his mood.

Something small and sweet for Niall and Liam. That was mainly Louis' idea, but I think it's a good plan. Maybe over the weekend.

Louis and I didn't do anything but homework after school. Even when I tried to get him to watch tv with me, he would always say that he doesn't want his mark going below an A. Although, yesterday being Thursday, Louis didn't even bother answering me, just knowing he'd say the same thing.

It made me feel guilty about avoiding my homework. I figured I may as well have done it with him, instead of doing it later when Louis' done and have him distracting me with something else.

Although, Louis seems the type to make sure my homework's done before play. That proven Tuesday night.

Even in the showers Louis was moaning at the feeling of hot water. Nothing else. Just the water.

I can't believing I'm actually saying this, but I can't wait to get to the gala because Louis will be focusing on anything but homework. He has no choice.

Before leaving for the gala, we set Liam and Niall up in the living room with some fruit.

Niall's pretty capable of doing things for him and Liam. But simple things like Liam using the washroom have to be done when Louis and I are there.

Poor lad. He's handling it well which is a good thing. I haven't seen him cry except for one time when Niall was showering and Liam just seemed to lose it.

Louis was there for him, I just walked away.

"Some friends are going to be there tonight. I want you to meet them." Louis tells me as we arrive at the school.

I groan, "Are they like Mitch and Azam?" No offence, but Louis doesn't have the tendency to make the best of friends.

Louis laughs, "No one's quite like them. But these two I think you'll find relate to us pretty well."

"How so?" I wonder out loud as Louis and I get out of the jeep and start to walk to the school side by side.

"You'll see. I don't want to butcher the explanation." Louis laughs.

We continue in silence walking up the steps.

The familiarity of it all is kind of good because I already sense Louis relaxing.

"Is the collar good? Do you want it looser?" Louis asks the moment I raise my hand to adjust it a little.

"No, it's fine. I just had an itch." I tell him and we walk down the hall and wait in the line to get our names signed off.

I see Justin and Zayn behind the bar as we walk in, Louis tugs me over to 'go say hi'.

"Hey! Louis!" Zayn smiles brightly, drying up some cups with a rag.
