Dwayne's POV

"Any news?" I told Gary.

"Next week, uuwi sya for about a week daw for her friends debut, pero after that babalik na din sya to continue studying." He told me while giving an envelope to me.

Inside it was a picture of her at the streets of New York, sa times square to. Shopping with her cousin.

"Sobrang hirap po nyang hagilapin sir. Tsaka po pala, Sa resort po nila sa batangas gaganapin ang party ." Sabi ulit ni Gary.

"Get me an invitation, i need to be there." Sabi ko.

"Pero mahihirapan po tayo makakuha ng seat nyo dun sir, lalo pa't resort nila yun" He said scared.

"Gumawa ka ng paraan! I dont care how! Just do your job." I told him.

Napahawak ako sa sentido ko. Why is she so fucking hard to reach? May pumipigil ba sa pagkita ko sa kanya? Actually, this is the first pic na natanggap ko sa private investigator since last three years na pinasusundan ko sya kaya nagitla ako.

"What is the theme of the party?" I asked calmly habang tinititigan ang picture.

She got her hair longer, may shades of light brown din to, kulot din yung baba. Mas pumuti sya. Tumangkad ba sya?

"Opo sir, masquerade, isa pa po yun sa problem, hindi po natin alam kung paano sya makikita." He said.

Napatigil ako.

"Fuck. Do you think may pumipigil sakin sa paghahanap sa kanya?" I asked.

"Yung totoo sir, halos sa tatlong taon po, yung mga hinihire kong magstalk halos lahat po nagbaback out, or sasabihin hindi nila makunan. Sa tingin ko po meron sir eh, may nangingialam po sa imbestigasyon natin." He said seriously.

"What? Bakit ngayon mo lang sinabi?" I said.

"Just get me an invitation and reserved seat for the party and then imbestigahan mo kung sinong pumipigil satin." I told him.

Umalis sya pagkatapos ko'ng ibigay ang bayad.

Then i remembered what Dad told me, three years ago, hindi kaya sya ang pumipigil sakin sa paghahanap kay Andrea?

Flashback

"I am really dissapointed on you, Dwayne. Did i raise you up like this? Na manloloko ng babae, two timer?!" He said and after that nakatanggap ako ng suntok.

"Tama na Albert! Ano ba!" Sigaw ni Mommy.

Pinipigilan nya si Dad na suntukin ako.

"Elma! You have no say on this. Kailangan kong pangaralan tong anak mo! Parang hindi pinalaking maayos! Nakakahiya!" Sabi ni Dad at nakatanggap nanaman ako ng suntok.

"Albert! Tama na, maawa ka sa anak mo." Sabi ni Mommy at niyakap ako.

She's close to tears kaya naman niyakap ko na din si Mommy.

"You know what? Isang kahihiyan ang ginawa mo! Babae yun, did you ever see me hurt your mom? By having another women?!" He shouted.

Hindi ako nakaimik. Sa kwento sakin ni dad, he never had another women, even a fling when he and mommy had a relationship, kaya siguro mahal nila ng sobra ang isa't isa.

"Look Dad, i'm really sorry pero i had reasons why and hindi ko inakala na mawawala sya sakin. I never thought i could loose her in the process of protecting her" i said completely out of breathe.

"What the fuck are you saying? What protection!" He shouted na para bang gulong gulo sila.

Pati si Mommy.

"Whatever you're reasons are! Nakasakit ka parin. And you know what? You're tita Leslie and Tito Alfred, they're mad at you and baka maapektuhan pa ang negosyo namin dahil sa nangyari." He said pacing back and forth.

I need to see him. Sigurado ako na maaring may kinalaman sya dito.

Nagpunta ako sa building ng office nya.

"Goodmorning Sir." Bati sakin ng nasa front desk.

"I need to see my Dad, nandyan ba sya?" Tanong ko.

Tumango yun babae at pinahatud ako sa isang receptionist papunta sa office ni Dad.

"What do you need?" Tanong niya.

He's been that cold to me since three years ago, pagkatapos ng pangyayaring yun. Maybe hindi lang talaga nya matanggap na nagloko ako but for pete sake i did'nt pero what's the matter of telling kung hindi din naman maniniwala.

Hindi na ako nagpaligoy ligoy pa at dineretso ko na sya.

"Are you stopping me to reach her? Ikaw ba ha? For fucking three years?" I asked.

"Watch your Mouth! You dont talk to your father like that na para bang kung sino lang ang nagpalaki sayo." He said standing in his swivel chair and looking at me straight.

"And what the hell are you saying? Whatever your bussiness is not my bussiness. So better get out of my sight before i lose control at masaktan kita, be thankful that i've promised your mom not to hurt you again." He said pointing to the door.

Hindi sya? Eh sino? Who's getting in my way?

Wala akong pakialam na nasagot ko ang tatay ko at marahas na umalis sa kompanya, what i need to know ay kung sino ang pumipigil sakin.

Fuck him kung sino man sya dahil hindi niya ako mapipigilan.

Kringgg kringg.

I answered my phone.

"Nakakuha na ako ng invitation sir and luckily I also got seats hindi lang po para sa inyo but for the team, baka kasi kailangan nyo ng back up." Gary said.

"Nics Gary, now imbestigahan mo na kung sino ang pumipigil satin." I said and ended the call.

Tinawagan ko si Drei.

"Be ready next week, we are attending a party. Masquerade, bring tris and tell this to the whole team." I said and i also cut the line quickly.

I'm seeing you next week baby, i need to be ready.
