1. -That Night-

"Are you sure it's okay for you to go out with us?" 

 Maine turned around and looked at her friends as if they're from another planet. She can't even believe they're asking a question like that.

"Of course I am, you silly" she replied before going back to texting on her phone. Maine is a member of one of the richest families in the continent. Her father is internationally known for his series of successful inventions and companies. Whether it is in the field of food or technology, the Mendoza clan has a firm hold in it. 

 Her parents aren't just a married couple with several businesses ... they are an empire. And Maine's pretty lucky because their wealth will someday be her's. After all, she's an only child.

"What about your parents? Do they know?"

 "They don't have to know Haley ... and besides they're busy with all the business meetings they're doing to even think of me"

 "Fine ... if that's what you say"

 Maine looked out of the window and saw the clear night sky. What she said is true , her parents are always so busy with work that they barely even talk to her. Sure they give her what she want, but they don't know how to give the two things she mostly need - time and love. 

"Umm girls?" she asked before wiping the one single tear that erupted form her eyes. 

 "What?" Haley and Jessica asked at the same time.  

 "Are you ready to have fun?"

 "Duh? of course"

 "Jessica , your ID? you just turned 18 .. you still look like you're 14 for God's sake"

 "It's in my purse don't worry"

 "Good"

 A few minutes after, Maine's driver dropped them off in front of a bar. "Thanks Rod ... we'll just call you later" Maine told him before she and the girls got out of the vehicle. 

The three ladies then walked up to the bouncer and showed their ID's. He looked at them suspiciously before opening the door. Maine smirked at him before going inside. 

As soon as they entered the place, the wild lights and loud music greeted them. Maine knew tonight is gonna be fun. 

 "So ... what are we gonna do for tonight?" Haley asked. 

"Have fun Haley ... we're going to have so much fun" Maine answered as she sets her sight on the guy she used to date. The young girl couldn't help but still feel a bit heartbroken, what happened between her and him is something that she never wanted to. He cheated ... he cheated on her just because she's "emotionally unavailable at the moment". 

"Isn't that Tristan?" Jessica asked her. 

 "Yes .. and he's all up that slinky girl .. anyway, let's head to the other direction"

"Dude, I'm gonna be a bodyguard to one of the richest families you can ever think of .... how cool is that?" Alden asked his best friend Calum while they are inside a bar, having a quick chill night out. 

 "In what family?"

 "The Mendoza's"

 "The Mendoza clan as in the family that owns more than a dozen of companies?"

 "Yes! That Mendoza clan!"

 "Dude! do you know how huge that is? How much are they gonna pay you?"
