Chapter 2

I scrunched up my nose as we pulled into South Port. It was surrounded by trees-- Farmland compared to Brownstone, my old city. The moving truck was driving behind us, holding the furniture. Clothes and necessities were the only things in the car.

As I looked out the window of the car, I could immediately see it was a small town. I glared at the back of my dad's head. It really was his fault we had to move. Shaking my head, I turned my attention back to looking out the window. We stopped and pulled into the driveway of a mansion; our house was big. This house was huge.

My eyebrows shot up, "This is our house? Like, completely ours?"

Mom laughed, "Yes dear. Now grab your bags and pick out your room."

I grabbed my three suitcases and slung my duffel bag over my shoulder. Walking into the house, I gasped at the beautiful work. To the left and right of the main hall was a spiral staircase, then, walking through was the living room and a door on the left that led to the kitchen and pantry, plus a door into the five car garage. A door in the living room, under the steps, led to the basement, which was finished. Finally, I ventured upstairs and was staring down two very large hallways. First, I went down the right hallway, poking my head through each of the rooms.

Deciding I didn't like any of them and the one at the end was the master suite, I walked down the opposite hall. In the third room I checked, second door on the left, I had found my room. The walls were a faded bright aqua color. There was a large king sized bed with navy blue bedding. There was an en suite bathroom as wall as a large walk in closet. I dropped my duffel bag on the ground and went back downstairs to grab my suitcases.

I unpacked my clothes into my closet and put everything I needed from my duffel bag into my bathroom. As the movers began to bring stuff in, I started hanging up my pictures and bulletin boards, re-pinning my posters to them. I then hung up my lights that traveled, just barely, around the entire perimeter of my room.

I smiled and added on all of my green and blue throw pillows onto the bed. Wow, all of that work and it only took me two hours. The movers brought in my full length mirror and I hung it up myself, I then added my black wall stickers that were designed in floral and swirly designs to surround it. Finishing off my room, my black 'L' shaped desk sat in the corner of my room, my Mac Book on it along with school things, electrical cords and chargers as well as the twenty something i Phone cases I have.

Once the movers left, I skipped downstairs and looked through the fridge. Smiling, I grabbed a nice-looking apple and took a bite out of it. Jason walked in and mimicked me, taking an apple from the fridge as well.

"What's up?" I asked him after swallowing the chunk I had bit off.

He shrugged, "Bummed, I guess. I really wanted to finish my senior year at Brownstone."

I nodded, "I wished I could've stayed there, too. But I guess it's nice to have a huge house, huh?"

"I guess you have a point, little sis," Jason said, laughing. Suddenly, he looked at me, tilting his head, "You realize that I'm probably going to have to teach lots of guys their lessons if you keep dressing like an actual girl?"

I slapped his arm, "Jerk!"

"Never said I wasn't!" He called after me as I went to go walk back up the steps. I decided to find out where Jason's room was. His was a door down from mom and dad's room. So, I was obviously the only one living in the left hallway of our house. Shrugging, I made my way back to my room pulled out my phone, deciding I should text Jenna and Max about my new house- er, mansion?
