Dominic POV
"Here you go ma'am" I said handing her the new Jordan's
"Thank you" she said
"Stacy will ring you up" I said and she nodded and walked to the register
"Yo yo yo" I heard a familiar voice say, I turned around and it was Rodney showing up to work late again
"Man you never on time" I said
"I showed up didn't I" he said and dapped me up
"So you going to that party next week" he asked
"I don't know man" I said
"You should go, I heard they gone have college honeys" he said
"College girls ain't nothing but trouble" I said
"Yea yea but they fine" he said
"You need to get to work" I said
"And you need to stop being a hater" he said and walked away to talk to this young girl
When I finished with work I went to go pick up Hayden from her friends house. When I got there I honked the horn and she came out.
"Hey Dom" she said getting into the car
"Hey Hayden, you had fun" I asked her
"Yea Vivian's like my best friend, it's like I've known her forever" she said
"That's good, when you get home I need you to have your clothes ready for school tomorrow" I told her
"Ok" she said
When we got home I smelt food cooking. I walked in the kitchen and my mom was cooking dinner.
"Hey mom" I said
"Hey Dominic" she said
"Are you feeling ok" I asked her
"Yea I'm fine, why" she asked
"Because your cooking" I said
"I know I haven't cooked in a while, but I realized I have you guys to take care of and I don't need my son being a parent when your only a kid yourself" she said
"I love you mom" I said and hugged her
"I love you too" she said
Next morning
I went to my locker and I saw Nicole waiting there.
"Hey you didn't stay after school the other day" she said
"Yes I had to work" I said
"I understand, sometimes I barely fill like I'm going to make it at school with all my late hours at the store" she said
"I can stay today" I said
"Ok" she said and was walking away till I stopped her
"Nicole" I said
"Yea" she said
"Are you going to the party next week" I asked her
"What party" she asked
"You didn't hear about it" I asked her
"I don't get invited to those things" she said
"Why" I asked
"Maybe because I don't sleep with football players and I actual care about my education unlike some of these girls around here" she said and walked away
