Clara helped Riley into the house and took the new baby boy, Derek, into his bedroom. She laid the sleeping baby into its crib and walked into the living room.
"I am going to take a nap." Riley said while yawning.
"Okay. I am going to run home when Devin gets home, so, I can get cleaned up." Clara responded.
"Okay." Riley sleepily said.
Clara went into the kitchen, grabbed a broom from the hall closet, and started sweeping. She finished sweeping and started straitening up the kitchen. Clara had just finished cleaning up the kitchen, when Devin walked in.
"Hey." Clara said.
"Hey." Devin said with bags under his eyes.
"I am going to go home. Riley is in taking a nap, and the baby is asleep." Clara said.
"Okay. Thanks." Devin said.
Clara walked outside to her car and drove home. She jogged inside and upstairs to her room. She plugged in her dead phone and flopped on her bed.

Ring-Ring
Clara woke up and looked at her phone. She had thirteen missed texts and thirty-four missed calls all from
Austin.
She opened all the texts up and read:
A: Hey!
A: Hello?
A: Heeeelllllooooo?!
A: Where are you?
A: Clara?
A: Clara Joy Rede!
A: Please answer me.
A: If I made you angry tell me.
A: Oh my goodness I am going crazy!
A: To late I am gone!
A: Just kidding.
A: Okay I might be going crazy!
A: I guarantee I will be crazy soon!
C: Sorry, Riley had her baby last night!
A: Oh thank heavens! I thought you were mad.
C: Haha, no!
A: So what are you doing this week?
C: I don't know. Parents have to work.
A: Oh.
C: I gtg. I love you!
A: Okay, bye. Love you too!
Clara sat back and thought 'How did such an amazing guy end up with me?' She took a shower, got changed and headed downstairs to get some food. Clara looked at the clock '7:00pm. Wow. The day has flown by.' She found a note from her parents on the counter.
"Emergency at work."
Clara looked at her dog,"Looks like it's just you and me tonight." She made a sandwich and went up to her room to read.
