I gingerly gave him a hug, and the next moment I started crying.
"Why are you crying? Please don't cry." He was evidently startled by my crying.
"I miss Mumma and Daddy."
"We are going there tomorrow, okay. Now give me a good smile." He said softly.
I was glad I would be seeing my parents tomorrow and I thankfully hugged him again. He seemed to enjoy it thoroughly.
All my luggage had arrived and I spend the rest of the day arranging my clothes and his clothes, which he still hadn't unpacked. We spoke for a long time at night. I made sure that I set the temperature for AC today.
"Did you take your medicines" I asked him
"The perks of having a wife! Yes, my dear, I had my allergy medicines earlier. It has never been this bad you know. The egg session triggered it."
"I am so sorry you had to go through that. I had seen the pictures. They sure did break a lot of eggs" I teased him.
" Aha! So my wife has been spying on me." He teased me back.
I blushed and looked away.
"Lets sleep. Its getting really late" I said still looking away and we slept soon.
I woke up listening to his alarm and woke him up. It took me three attempts, but he did wake up in the end and I could already hear azhan from the mosque next door.
"I will be going to mosque, don't wait for me. There might be a sermon today, you go back to sleep " He said salam and left for the mosque. I prayed and went to the kitchen after that. I was thinking of making him some tea and luckily, the kitchen was deserted. I made some green tea, grabbed some cookies and took it upstairs in a tray.
He came into our room and looked surprised that I was waiting for him
"you didn't go back to sleep?"
"I wanted to make tea for you" I smiled at him and he returned the smile.
He drank the tea and asked, "Do you want to go for a walk?"
"Sure, Let me just change into my abaya "
I had never been to this place before and I didn't mind checking it out. There was a lot of greenery and we walked till we reached the lake. We sat down near the lake for sometime. I couldn't really believe that I got comfortable with him so fast. I spoke to him non stop during our walk and he turned out to be a good listener.
"Hey, I hope I am not boring you"
"Ofcourse no, Marjaan, you will never bore me. I love listening to you."
We reached home and slept for a while and he woke me up this time.
"Rise and shine, dear."
It was lovely to see his face when I woke up.
"Don't you want to go to your house?" he asked pulling my cheek.
"Ofcourse, I want to go."
"Get ready soon. Wear that pink suit. It looks good on you" He said with a wink.
I did a victory dance in my mind. I was so happy he liked the colour pink on me. Now I don't have to care about Afreen and Hima's flamingo taunts as long as my Husband was happy.
Breakfast was ready when I went downstairs and I ate to my fill. I waited for him at the car porch. He brought two sets of keys and playfully asked me which one I wanted to use today. The car or the bike? I chose bike instantly and I could see the delight in his eyes.
