What I figured out

Atai opened the link.

Hey! Atai! So, I did it. God I'm not sure how to present this. I know! I'll tell it like it's a story!

So! I did my thing and I got into the vents, right? That was the easy part.

Anyway it wasn't hard at all and I started eavesdropping on conversations. Or... honestly, mostly lack thereof. There's a few people in the group (an older man and then a boy and a girl, probably high schoolers?) that get a lot of attention, but outside of that conversations are... they happen, I guess is true, but they were kinda rare and? to the point? I guess is the expression? Near as I can tell basically all the activity in the group centers around either those three people or... trying to find other people. Some of the conversations were incredibly skeevy too. I mean okay first of all, you know how they were explaining at the front desk that they think that humanity is the source of all good? That's... apparently actually what they think, only they think that... maybe I should just transcribe it. I took good notes!

So I was in the vents during a... sermon, call it a sermon. And there's this old guy at the podium, and he's saying...

Understand, then, that while mankind as a whole is good, each and every one of you is a sin. No, not a sinner, for that would be too kind a designation-- you are like a demon! Your very nature is sinful! And there is no messiah from on high coming to wipe that away! If humanity is God, then men must be Satan. Selfishness is the root of your sin, understand! Each and every human lives their own private life, sequestered away from their brethren. Each and every human is covetous, greedy, envious, prideful-- the worst of sins from the old books are there because they are truly unforgivable!

At this point someone (not one of the three people I'm talking about) interjected with a "But what's the point, then?" which is honestly a really fucking good question. But old preacher dude obviously has a counterpoint for it because I guess you don't start a religion without thinking for twelve seconds about the implications thereof. The guy just sort of chuckled a little and then went:

Did you understand me to mean that you are condemned to be sin forever? If you doubt the Church, perhaps you shall be. But there is still a route to Good left in the world! Self-efficacy is what we must all aspire to, to cleanse our nature of the sins of pride and desire. To immerse our bodies and our mind in the collective will of all mankind, to become vessels for the universal good! I am only before you, talking right now, because Mankind wishes for salvation to be delivered to its constituents.

That kinda shot the guy down, and he sat down and the preacher guy went back to preaching. He

they didn't even like mention suicides once which is pretty fucking sketch IMO. We need to get Glass out of here because I don't really know much about cults but like this just does not sound good at all. Maybe this is Eurocentric or w/e but "emptying yourself out so you can become a good person" is just a shit idea.
