she sleeps alone,
my heart wants to come home
i wish i was, i wish i was, beside you

I look down at my hands nervously, fiddling with my fingers whilst hearing the loud hubbub of the airport.

Shawn has been on tour for six months, and even though I follow his adventures through his Snapchat and we text sometimes, it's nothing compared to him actually being here.

I know I should be happy, which I am. He's gotten so far this past year. From being just another high school student to touring with Taylor Swift and headlining his own tour? It's crazy. It's good crazy. And I'm sure that when he comes back, it'll all be the same, but there's that voice in the back of my mind screaming, What if he's changed? What if he looks at you differently? He probably doesn't love you anymore.

My thoughts are interrupted by a loud robotic voice, "Passengers from flight 204 will be landing in approximately one minute."

I let out a nervous sigh and clutch my handbag tightly, I can feel my heart rate increase with every second that goes by. Calm down, Delilah. It's all going to be fine.

"Passangers from flight 204 have landed, and are making their way out from Luggage Claim," the voice says after a while.

I look up, and I see him. Exiting the baggage claim.

He's looking down at his phone. Why is he looking down at his phone?! A million thoughts run around my head again, and are interrupted by my phone beeping.

Shawn❤️: I don't think I can survive much longer without kissing you. Are you at the airport?

I glance up at him. Hiss eyebrows are furrowed together and he bites his lip nervously, almost as though he's going to cry.

My breath hitches at my throat.

me: Look up, idiot.

Shawn's head snaps up, mouth slightly open. He looks around frantically before his eyes meet mine.

Time stops. It's only him that I can see in this crowded place. Shawn. My Shawn. And as a wide smile spreads across his features, I know that he hasn't changed at all.

We start gravitating towards each other, and slot together in the middle like puzzle pieces. His arms encircle my waist as mine do the same around his neck.

"I've missed you so much," I whisper.

"I've missed you," he breathes into my neck, "so much more."

I pull away slowly, happy tears filling both of our eyes.

"You're here," I say, touching his cheek delicately in disbelief, "You're actually here."

"Yeah," he laughs, "and I'm staying here."

His face inches towards mine, "The road is nothing compared to the girl I love."

A/N: heyyyyooo i'm adri nice to meet you what's good
