"Maybe," she shrugged.

Resisting the impulse to groan, I trudged after my family into a cab and rested my head against the window, staring outside at the night sky.

As soon as we reached our destination, my stomach churned as I stared up at the large ship. "Did we have to book a cruise on here?" I mumbled, shedding my coat off and carelessly throwing it over my shoulder. "What's up, Christopher?" I asked as I caught up to him.

He took a moment to respond. "The sky," he replied slowly, shrugging.

I rolled my eyes. "Wow, how original."

He shrugged again and hurried inside the ship. It occupied me a moment to gather myself after inspecting the view outside and the bar that was attached to the side. I noticed Christopher staring longingly at the bar and I narrowed my eyes as he shook his head to himself and followed our families.

I plopped down on a chair that contained a table situated in front of it. As for my mother, she laid her purse on the table and lowered herself on her seat, staring out the window at the view. "Oh look, it's the Sydney Harbour Bridge." I pointed in the direction of the famous bridge.

Taking the chance, I grabbed my camera and shot a picture of it, and while I was too busy snapping pictures of the view outside, I noticed a few waiters serving smoke salmon with a glass of wine with it. My mouth watered as the smell filled my nostrils.

"I love salmon," I mentioned, sliding a plate of smoked salmon over towards me.

"Tell me, Daniella, is there a food you don't love?" Christopher muttered. I could yet hear him very well, even though he was sitting in the table in front of us.

I waited a moment to reply. "Uhm...Vegemite," I responded. He narrowed his eyes at me and I felt the corner of my lips curve upwards at my own joke. My eyes trailed to his untouched wine and I furrowed my eyebrows.

"Do you drink?" I gestured to the glass beside him. I was underage, therefore I was justified.

He shook his head. "Nope."

I furrowed my eyebrows. "What teenager doesn't drink?"

"Me," he snarled.

"Calm down, it was just a question."

Huffing out a breath, I delved into my smoked salmon and decided not to engage in a conversation with him again. It always ends on a bad note. My eyes fell on the glass of wine beside me, and before I could even blink, my father's voice cut me off.

"Don't even think about it."

"I wasn't about to," I denied.

After finishing my smoked salmon, I resolved to head outside and check the view. Hesitating, I stood up and headed towards Christopher. He looked up from his plate and lifted an eyebrow. "I'm going to outside. Want to join me?"

He took a moment to chew. "Whatever," he muttered.

Pushing back his chair, he turned on his heels and I hurried after him. A few people outside were admiring the view, so I walked up towards Christopher who was standing on the edge of the boat. Looking down at the water, I felt myself going dizzy at the sight of it.
