Leaving home

"Rilen come here sweetie" my grandpa silently yelled.
I made my way to him. Giving him a kiss on the forehead. "Grandpa are you sure" I question him, "I could just stay here. And take care of you."
"Rilen" he says putting his hand above mine.
"Yea. I should go to college and make a life" I say reassuring myself.
"I love you" he shouts as I exit.
I smile at him as I start loading my things in the car. "RRRRIIIILLLEN" a voice screams.
I turn to my left to see Brandon coming my way. He tackles me. "I know you wasn't about to leave" he says snapping his fingers.
Brandon is my gay best friend. More like my best friend! He will always be my friend. He grips harder on me. "Please don't leave me" he says in my neck.
"Brandon I have to leave. I will come back" I pull away from Him.
"Let's go out to Starbucks before you leave" he says standing up cleaning himself off.
I shake my head. I pack everything in my car and then head down the road.

Brandon kisses my cheek. "I'm gonna miss you Riley" he says.
I can't help but blush that the nickname he gave me in first grade. I hug him and then pull away. Long hugs are never my thing. Probably never will be.
"I gotta go" I say.
"No" he pulls me close to him.
"Brandon Lynn" I say his middle name; knowing he hates it
He pulls back. "Fine nastyy " he pushes me away, "leave."
I chuckle at him. I kiss his cheek and say goodbye.
