"Where's mom," I asked Brooks as soon as I walked into the living room.

"She just left, Why," "Because....," I started but couldn't finish. "Because what," Brooks asked sounding really curious on what I was going to say.

"I need to talk to you privatly," I said. She look at me weird for a second but knew that it was something serious so she got up and followed me to our room.

We entered the room and we both sat down next to each other on my bed.

"What was it that you wanted to tell me," Brooks asked, "Corey," I said, "What about Corey," she replied.

"Do you know why he's been so down lately," I asked.

Brooks shook her head. "No, Is it because mom didn't go to career day," She asked and I shook my head.

"No," I said, "Then why has he been so down lately," Brooks asked. "Something happened to him at school," "What? Are kids bullying him," Brooks asked and I shook my head again.

"Worse," "What," She said sounding really impatient. "Corey said to me that his teacher has been touching him inappropriately," I said and Brooks looked shocked.

"We need to tell mom. Now," Brooks said as she picked up her phone and dialed mom's number.

Brooklyn's pov

When Sasha told me that Corey's teacher has been touching Corey inappropriately, I quickly grabbed my phone and called mom.

She didn't pick up. I called her again and she still didn't pick up. We called her several more times and she still didn't pick up.

"She's not picking up her phone," I said, "She's probably busy," Sasha replied, "Call the office to confirm," she continued.

So I called the office and after 2 rings, the receptionist picked up.

End of Convo

"She is busy," I said as I put my phone down. "Guess we have to wait until she gets home," I continued.

"No we don't," Sasha said as she got up and left the room. I got up and followed behind her.

"What do you mean No we don't," I asked, "We don't have to wait until she gets home. We could just go see her at the station," Sasha replied.

"But she's busy," I said, "I don't care, Corey's more important... And when have you ever cared that she's busy," Sasha said and left.
