Meet Me At The Corner

*Bonus Chapter*

Laura's P.O.V

This is where it all began.

Here in this street corner. Something beautiful started here when my life was in ruins. This place used to make me feel safe, and happy inside.

Now every time I come here I always cry. It's hard not to. There are to many memories of him. I miss Ross.

Sadly, things change. The happy times are gone. I don't feel what I used to. I feel empty.

I'm lonely. I have no one.

He's gone. He left me a year after our wedding. No, he didn't divorce me. Ross left Earth.

*Flashback*

"Ross, I think some guys are following us." My heart pounds in my chest.

He makes a sideways glance.

"Laura, whatever happens don't forget I love you." He kisses my lips. If only I'd known that would be the last time we'd kiss. If only I'd known I would never see him again.

"What do you mean?" I turn around.

He's not there. Neither are the guys following us. I start hearing a buzzing noise in my ears. Where's Ross?

Looking to my left I find a man holding him demanding for money.

I do something I thought I'd never do. I tackled the robber.

Gun shots were heard. I saw blood. The man was dead.

I looked over to my right. Tears sprung in my eyes.

And so was Ross.

He was breathing out of his back. He didn't blink. There was no pulse.

He was gone.

*Flashback over*

I turned into a complete mess. I still am.

Looking at the corner for the last time a salty tear slides down my cheek.

"I will never say goodbye to you."
