Maka rubbed her arm* "Im sorry Soul....I should have told you sooner" *Soul was silent....he didn't say anything....he sat across the table with his white hair hiding his face* "Where is he....." *Soul finally broke his silence* "S-Soul....w-what ar-" "WHERE IS HE!!!" *suddenly Soul stood up from the table and slammed it* "Soul!! Calm down" *Soul paced himself across the room impatiently then he stopped and looked at Maka* "Why now?? Why IS IT NOW!! That you tell me this?? HUH?!!" *Maka knew Souls initial reaction was going to be this....but never expected to be like this* "b-because...y-you w-were so preoccupied...." *Soul clentched his sharp white teeth together* "THATS NOT A GOOD ENOUGH REASON!! Maka he hurt you!!! YOUR MY MEISTER!! I WOULD DIE FOR YOU!!! TO PROTECT YOU!!!" *Maka could feel tears swell up in her eyes. She hated it when Soul said he would die protecting her.....They were partners in crime.....how would she able to live with herself if Soul did die....all because of her faults....* "Where is he Maka??" *Soul questioned her again* "WHERE IS HE!!" *Suddenely his right arm flashed into his scythe. Maka stood from her chair and stepped back* "Soul....what are you doing??" *Soul's face had murder written all over it. Maka knew Soul's true temper. And when he was like that. Only she could handle it. But this....this was different.....this was something beyond her control....."

"Soul...Think about what you are doing...." *Soul looked down at his shoes with his hair covering his face* "Maka....Im asking you this one last time.....where is he...." *Maka felt her head thud with pain and her chest swell up. She shrugged her shoulders and felt as though she swallowed something hard* "I don't know" *Maka looked down at her feet as she replied with a whisper. The room was suddenly filled with dead silence.....the air between the both of them was suffocating. Maka was scared. Scared of her partner for the first time. Her cool partner......now seemed like someone she didn't know anymore.....Without saying anything Soul walked around the table with his arm still in its scythe form. Maka looked up at him and watched him for a second as he started heading for the front door* "Where are you going??" *Maka asked. Soul stopped. He didn't turn to face her, he just stood there silently. With his left hand his balled it into a fist and replied* "Im gonna kill him" *Maka eyes grew wide with horror at his response.* "No don't....." *Soul ignored her and carried on walking to the door. Instantly Maka ran for him and grabbed his shoulder* "Soul!!" *Soul shook her hand off and kept walking. Saying nothing. Maka grabbed his left arm in desperation and pulled it* "Soul!! Stop it!!" *Soul shrugged her off again but this time he yelled at her.* "MAKA!!! LET ME AT THAT BASTARD! HOW DARE HE HURT MY MEISTER!" *Maka began to cry as she struggled to stop him* "Soul! Stop it!!" *Maka jumped infront of him and tried to push him back* "Soul!! Stop it please!!!" *She looked up at Soul and saw Soul's infuriated face.....he had lost it completely......Tears fell from her face and she hugged him, putting her arms around his neck* "Im sorry Soul!! I'm sorry!! Stop it please!!!" *Soul still tried to head for the door, but Maka was holding him back* "I GONNA KILL HIM" *He screamed. Maka's cries started to become louder the more he tried to get through her* "Stop it Soul!!" *Maka was scared. Scared of Soul. Scared of what he might become. Where was the courage she needed?* "HE'S DEAD!! HE'S A DEAD MAN!!!" *Soul continued to scream.* "SOUL EATER EVANS, STOP IT RIGHT NOW!!!" *Maka screamed. Her cry finally got to Soul. He stopped and he looked at her. She buried herself in his chest. Soul looked down at her. Her eyes filled with regret and remorse. "This isn't cool" *He mumbled*
