XXV - Counting Stars

Tanya's POV

A manly scent entered my nostrils so I opened my eyes. And the moment I did, I felt like all the air inside me left my lungs. Viniel's face is only a few inches from mine and from this view, I can clearly see how perfect he is. I can't help but stare at his lips. I have to try my best to stop myself from kissing him.

"What the hell are you doing, Viniel?" I managed to mutter despite the uneasiness in my chest right now.

He smirked. "I was just planning to wake you up with my kiss from your peaceful slumber, my princess. But it seems like you don't need it anymore since gising ka na rin naman. Though I'll still give it to you if you'll ask for it."

"You wish!" I retorted and rolled my eyes. Thankfully, lumayo na rin siya after he unbuckled my seatbelt because I really can't hold my breath anymore. "Is this the place? This is so lame! First official date and you're bringing me somewhere dark at parang tapunan ng salvaged corpses." I teased to make the mood lighter para mawala ang nervousness ko.

I looked around pero wala rin naman akong makita that would give in kung nasaan kami since it's already getting dark.

"What?" He said, his expression is like somewhere in between grinning ang being irritated. "Wait 'till you see my surprise, gorgeous. I'm sure you will fall deeper in love with me tonight."

I scoffed and teased him some more. He went out of the car para pagbuksan ulit ako ng car door just like what he always do. Once I got out, nagulat ako when he covered my eyes with a cloth.

"Viniel! I swear, this is so corny! You watch too much rom-com films."

"Stop being so grumpy, gorgeous!" He said and even if I don't see him, I'm sure he's wearing the playful smirk of his. "You know that I love that about you but this is our official first date and I really want to see your smile instead."

I huffed and just tried to ignore him while he's leading me kung saan man niya ako dadalhin. Tried. Ang hirap din naman kasing hindi pansinin si Viniel when his hands are on my shoulders and his manly scent is engulfing the air around me.

I felt a little cold while we're walking then the cold subsided after a few more steps. I heard a man greeted Viniel and he greeted him back. Nagtawanan pa sila when the man he greeted teased him about this date.

"We're getting there, gorgeous." He said, his breath tickled the area between my neck and my left shoulder. "I know we'll fight about this again but I have to do this, Love."

I felt his arms scooped me up before I could even react kaya wala na rin akong choice but to put my arms around his neck. My heart went wild again kasi kahit hindi ko siya nakikita, I know tha our faces are only few inches away from each other. I even got a chance to sniff his scent from his neck. Sinadya ko 'yon, good thing Viniel didn't notice it.

"Viniel! Put me down! Ano bang ginagawa mo?!" I asked angrily even if I'm enjoying the position we're in right now. Kinakabahan kasi ako everytime he's taking a step paakyat.

"Relax, gorgeous, I'm holding you tight." He assured me as if he read what's on my mind. "I won't let you fall unless you'll fall for me."

I felt my face heat up because of his remark but I groaned to hide what I truly feel."Stop flirting, Viniel! Just be mindful of your steps. 'Pag nahulog ako, I'll strangle you!"

He ignored my threat at tinawanan lang ako. I felt relieved when I felt that he's finally done sa pag-akyat. But he still didn't put me down. After a few more steps, I felt cold again. He then put me down and took my blindfold off.

"Surprise, gorgeous." His smile is the first thing I saw when he finally took the cover from my eyes. It took me a few minutes before I realized where we are.
