Tanya's POV

Viniel is quiet while we're in the elevator pababa. Buti naman! He finally gave me the break that I've been wanting! Tiningnan ko siya from my peripheral view. He's doing something in his phone. Kaya pala nanahimik. Kaming dalawa lang dito ngayon kaya I am extra cautious sa mga ginagawa niya.

"I'm not texting anyone." He said kaya napatingin na ako nang tuluyan sa kanya. His eyes are still in his phone. "I'm just playing a game, gorgeous. I don't want to give you any reasons to get jealous." He finally threw me a look and winked at me.

I rolled my eyes at him. "You can do anything you want. I don't really care."

He just chuckled. "Now you sound like you're jealous." Pinatay niya na ang phone niya then he put it in his pocket. "There. I won't play anymore if my baby doesn't like it."

"I am not your baby!" I hissed. Something churned inside me when he told me that and I don't like the feeling!

"But do you want to be?" He asked with a naughty smile.

"NO!"

He laughed at my reaction. "Sungit naman."

Hindi ko na lang siya pinansin because I don't want to argue with him anymore. Wala rin namang nangyayari. Nakarating din kami sa ground floor after a few more moments. We greeted the guard sa lobby then we went out of the building and that's when noticed na malakas na pala ang ulan and it's already flooding.

"Kuya, how long has it been raining?" Narinig ko na lang si Viniel na nagtanong sa guard sa may lobby.

"Mga dalawang oras na ho, Sir." The guard replied. "Magda-drive pa ho ba kayo? Kung malapit lang kayo dito, kaya pa naman ho siguro pero kung pa-south kayo, baha na po do'n. Baka tumirik lang ho ang kotse niyo." He added.

Viniel just nodded and thanked the guard for the infos.

"Your offer still stands, right? You'll still bring me home?" I nervously asked him. If we will rely on the infos given by the guard, malaki na nga ang baha pauwi sa amin.

"Tanya, can't you see? It's raining hard. And you heard what the guard said, too. Baka tumirik lang ang kotse ko if I'll drive you home. Baka dalawa pa tayong hindi makauwi." He explained. Well, I get that. Baha na nga and if we'll be stuck in traffic tapos baha pa, pareho lang kaming maha-hassle.

"What's your plan, then? Dito tayo matulog sa lobby?" I didn't mean to be sarcastic but my frustration is getting in my head.

"You want us to swim then?" He answered in equally sarcastic tone.

Shit. What will we do now?

"Paano na 'yan? You won't leave me here alone habang naghihintay sa driver ko, right?" I asked him again, hoping na kahit paano he's gentleman enough not to live me here.

He huffed. "Good luck to him, then. I hope your driver will make it through this flood. I have a condo unit nearby. If you want we can stay there for the night." He offered.

"What? No way! I won't stay there lalo na that I am with a pervert like you!" Inis na sabi ko. Is he insane? Does he really think na sasama ako sa kanya after I saw what kind of pervert he is?

"Your call. You can wait for your driver here. I'm cold and already tired, Tanya." He said nonchalantly.

"Are you serious?!"

"Dead serious, Tanya. I don't have the energy to bicker with you anymore especially when we're out here in this cold."

I stared at him in disbelief. I can't really read his expression. I sighed. Maybe he really is tired and maybe he can't really risk driving through the flood at lalo pang maabala if he'll drive me home or wait for my driver to arrive.
