Call

(Nicks pov)

A whole week had gone by an no sign of Heidi. I could tell everyone was frustrated.

I rubbed my temples with my fingers. I was relaxed for a minute before the phone rang.

I picked it up and held it to my ear.

"Hello" I said.

"Is this Nick winters of the the winter moon pack."

"Yes" I said to the unknown voice.

"I have something you want" the voice said deviously.

"What" I asked confused and irritated. This person was keeping me from time spent liking for Heidi.

" I have someone your looking for."

"What the hell are you talking about"

"I have.. What's her name...Heidi"

"Who the hell are you and where the fuck is my mate."

"Tisk, Tisk, Tisk, I'd watch the way you speak to me unless you want your little mate hurt."

"Don't you dare touch her you bas-

"Watch the way you speak to me"I could eat the amusement in his voice which only made me madder.

I stayed silent though I didn't wan Heidi getting hurt. Just the thought made me want to punch the wall.

"Now listen carefully, if you want Heidi back all you need to do is hand over your land and a million dollars."

The money wasn't a problem, since our pack was pretty rich, but to give up all our land,

It was for Heidi I had to do it.

"Ok' I said h voice tight.

"Wonderful, meet me at midnight tonight at green fields, just your self no one else, I'll kill her on the spot if you bring someone with you."

"Hand over the money, and a paper with the land on it and you'll have your worthless mate back."

He didn't wait for me to reply he already knew I would go and do as e said.

I'd go even if it me t my life. Now all I had to do was explain this to my parents and the pack.

"Sure I was alpha and could do as I wanted but I couldn't not tell them, I just had to figure out how.

"Dad" I said walking into his and my moms room.

I had decided to just tell them.

"Yes is something wrong" my dad asked looking up from a map.

He was looking over any possible places where they could hide people's or Luna's to more exact.

"Kinda" I said. I knew I sounded nervous as a little scared because he looked at me. All his attention on me.

I gulped. " I got a call today."

He looked at me nervously. Not getting what I was saying.

"It was about Heidi" I said

He looked really worried now. Probably thinking the worse like Heidi was dead or something I hope to god she wasn't.

"Yes?w he said.

"The person said if I wanted her back I had to give them a million dollars and or land" I said looking at the floor.

I couldn't see my father but he came to me and lifted my chin.

" It's ok" he said.

"I have to dad,i need Heidi, please" I begged tears in my eyes. I had never been so weak and powerless as I was now without Heidi.

"I know you have to do it, you'll run off and do something stupid I you dont"

"Thank you, thank you". I said smiling through my tears.

"I'll talk to the pack, and I have a really close friend who is the Alpha of the full moon pack, ill ask permission to stay with them until we find new and unclaimed territory."

"Thank you" I said again. He nodded and patted my back.

He left probably to talk to the pack. The full moon pack was a smaller pack, and there Alpha had his Luna shipped away to her homeland in brazil. My father and him had bounded over the years.

An where really close. Also my mom and his Luna had gone to high school together.

I smiled to myself. I could have my mate in just a few hours. It made my insides melt and my heart swell.

All I had to do now was wait for midnight
