Q: What made you start writing?
A: To be honest, I'm not really sure. There are a few different reasons I guess. The first would be the fact that I'm kind of obsessed with Harry Potter and J.K. Rowling. I wanted to affect people with my writing like JK affected me. The series really helped me with a health issue I had (anorexia), so I've wanted to be the cause of helping someone else with their issues as well. Plus I've always been a really creative person, whether it be writing, drawing, painting etc.
Q: Tell us what the first story you ever wrote was about.
A: The first story I ever wrote was a Harry Potter fanfiction. It is still incomplete and is on another wattpad account that I don't use anymore. I have an obsession with the twins and I wanted to write my own fanfiction about the twins. So basically, the story is just about an OC becoming friends with the twins and such. It's quite boring and horribly written, but yeah, haha.
Q: What is your inspiration for writing?
A: My inspiration for writing would be J.K. Rowling and my dad. My dad passed away on christmas day in 2005, and ever since then I've just wanted to excel at everything I do to try and make him proud of me. J.K. Rowling had such a positive affect on my life, and I wanted to be just like her. I want to inspire people, and encourage them by using my writing.
Q: what story of yours do you like the most?
A: I have two favourites. The first one is a seven chapter short story called 'Limited'. There are a few reasons as to why it's one of my favourite. The first being the fact that it started off as a 500 word story that I wrote for a writing contest. I extended it, and I was really pleased with the results. It's was the first story that I started and actually completed.
The second would be a short story that's called 'Fatal Impact' and it's about a girl with anorexia. It's one of my favourites because even in the short time that it's be up on wattpad, a couple of people have already said they can relate to the story and it helped them even just a little bit. The issue that it deals with is very personal to me, so I feel great about getting it out there. It is also my most popular story with over 68,000 reads.
Q: Who is your favourite fictional character?
A: Uh! So hard to choose! I would have to say either the Weasley Twins from Harry Potter (You can't separate those two! How can I just choose one?) OR Adrian from Richelle Mead's Bloodlines and Vampire academy novels, he's amazing OR Castiel from Supernatural, come on, he HAS to be on this list. He should be on everyone's list. OR Sherlock Holmes (from the BBC series). And of course The Doctor is on the list! He's my best friend!
Q: Favourite book series?
A: Harry Potter definitely, or the VA/Bloodlines series.
Q: Do you have any 'habits' or 'traditions' when you're writing?
A: I actually have quite a few. When I'm writing, I have to have Supernatural episodes playing in the background, and a hot cup of tea next to me. Most of the time, I tend to write the chapters up in a notebook first, then type it up. for some reason, I feel more free when it comes to my writing if I write it out in a notebook first, and I can always compare the things that I've crossed out to the new version I've written of the same thing. And last, but not least, I have a specific pen that I always use when I'm writing. I consider it my lucky pen, it gets my creative juices flowing haha
Q: What genre do you dislike the most, and why?
A: I'm open to reading all genre's, but I think I dislike reading fanfictions about REAL people. Like, Harry Potter, Percy Jackson, Vampire diaries, Hunger games, those kinds of fanfictions don't bother me at all. It's the one's about 1D, or other bands, or popular youtubers. Only because I get a bit creeped out by it. Like, imagine you were that person and you saw fanfics of yourself doing god knows what with crazy fans?
Q: If you could swap lives for a day with any person in the world, living or dead, famous or not famous, who would it be?
A: it would have to be J.K. Rowling. She's just amazing and inspirational, and I think she would have the most amazing life right now, besides, she gets to meet some amazing people.
Q: What is your opinion on oreos?
A: Obsessed. Completely and utterly obsessed with them. I have to have at least one oreo every day. My obsession with them is so bad, that when people don't know what to buy me as christmas or birthday gifts, they resort to buying me numerous boxes of oreos.
Q: If you were an animal, what animal would you be and why?
A: Hmm, I'd love to be a fox, or a giraffe. I mean foxes are just awesome, and who wouldn't want to be a giraffe? They would have the best views no matter where they went.
Q: Anything else?
A: Just thank you for reading my ramblings haha. Thanks to everyone who reads and supports my stories.
