Chapter 12

Ryouji's POV

We were with the other little stupid genins at the training ground called the Forest of Death. The girls and I looked at each other and then at the protector. She explained to us that we were given either the Heaven scroll or the Earth scroll. I looked at the scroll in my hand and it was an Earth scroll. She told us we had to retrieve our oppose scroll with in 5 days. She let us go and the three of us were on our own in this field. Mari-chan and Kumi-chan looked at me and we began our journey.

Shikamaru's POV

We had entered the training ground and it was only half an hour in and I could sense people near by. I had immediately stopped in my tracks. Ino and Chouji looked at me confused. I started to go in the direction of where the chakra was coming from. It was so strong, so powerful, that I couldn't help but be drawn to it. Ino and Chouji followed me and we saw two genin against three genin. This was going to be bad.

We saw the two genin smiling as the other three looked at them confused. The three genin couldn't move as the girl genin said something I couldn't hear. She pointed to each of them in various locations and the boy whipped out a shadow katana out of thin air. As he moved, I saw someone appear from his shadow. My eyes widen as I saw another girl appear, but what scared me the most was that the girl was using the same hand seals I used for shadow possession. I watched in horror at what that team did to the other.

They were smiling and retrieved their winning scroll. I looked at Ino and Chouji to see them being scared at the sight before them. I couldn't blame them. It was intense. Even for me. They started to talk again, but I couldn't hear what they said. Until I heard a girl yell at her teammates. Saying their names.

"KUMIKO! RYOUJI! QUIT FIGHTING ALREADY!"

Ryouji's POV

We were staring at three Sound ninjas. They were looking at us as if we were weak. It was stupid. I saw one of them eyeing Mari-chan and let's just say I was angry.

"Stoping looking at her like that." I said. The sound ninja looked at me and laughed. I was getting angry when I felt a cold hand touch my back. I looked at Mari-chan and smiled. She smiled back at me and then turned towards the sound ninjas. They looked at us confused and were about to move when they realized. They couldn't move a damn step.

I looked at Mari-chan as she closed her eyes. I saw her face focus and then she opened her eyes, revealing her Byakugan eyes.

"Byakugan!" She looked at each of the sound ninjas and pointed in various spots. I whipped out a shadow katana and started to move. I felt Kumi-chan's chakra appear as I was walking over to the sound ninjas. They were shivering in fear and yelling in pain as I cut their vital organs. Once I was done, Kumi-chan used her shadows and squeeze the rest of the life out of the bodies. Let's just say, we live up to our given nicknames.

I look over at Kumi-chan and I noticed her clothes were drenched in blood. I couldn't help but chuckle at her. She looked at me angrily, but it didn't help her.

"You wanna fight me Ryou-chan?" She asked me.

"Nah. You're too weak for me to fight. That would be lame for me." We ended up fight for five minutes. It would have gotten ugly if it wasn't for a certain someone.

"KUMIKO! RYOUJI! QUIT FIGHTING ALREADY!"

We turned towards her alarmed. She had said our actual names. Our names. Out loud. She looked at us with realization of what she had done. She looked like she was ready to apologize, but Kumi-chan shushed her.
