Chapter 10: Remembering Jiyong

"Why are you sleeping?" asked Jiyong.
I just looked at him with a blank face.
"I'm waiting for an answer" Jiyong said.
"I don't know" I mutter.
Jiyong just rolls his eyes and goes back to playing games on his iPhone.
All I did was watch Jiyong play on his phone, It's cute how he's so distracted while playing his games.
After a while I got super bored.
I looked up at Jiyong who seemed like he's very entertained.
"Jiyong.."
"Mhm" he responded, not looking away from his phone.
"Can I.. play?" I shyly asked.
He looks up from his phone and stared at me right in my two green eyes.
"Ehh.. Sure" He gave me his phone.
"Game of Dots.." I read silently then smirked.
Jiyong seemed to notice my smirk.
He smirked also, "Why are you smirking?"
"It's just that I use to play this game when I was a little girl" I said.
"Oh really?" Jiyong questioned, "I use to play it all the time in middle school."
"Really? How come? Didn't they use to prohibit cellphones in middle school?"
Jiyong smirked, "I had my own ways."
I let out a giggle.
"Yes, I remember when Mr. Sanchez called me out for taking my phone out in class" Jiyong said.
"Oh you had Mr.Sanchez? For what grade?" I asked.
"Eight Grade."
My grin disappeared, he's identity as a little 14 year old boy is painting little by little in my mind.
"Didn't I have you for that class? 4th period?" I asked.
"Yes" he smiled.
"Oh my god.. You were the cute Asain chubby kid!" I giggled.
Jiyong blushed, "yes I was."
Then memories from the eight grade came too me. Then came the memories when I hung out with Jiyong, I would be the only one who would hang out with him because people made fun of him.
"We use to hang out remember?" Jiyong smiled very creepy.
Something about his smile this time creeped me out.
I smiled widely, "yes I do now."
Liyang came with the paper to write what we desire to eat.
"Hello guests, have you chosen what would you desire to eat?" Liyang asked.
I looked at Jiyong, Jiyong looked at me for a second and then remembered what we were planning to get."
"Oh!" Jiyong said in shock, "Um.. give us a big bowl of salad, without tomatoes, add extra ranch & bread in it." He smiled.
Li yang the waitress stood there writing our food.
She sighed, "okay. I'll be ready in about 10 to 14 minutes."
"Thank you" I said, Liyang smiled and walked away from us.
"I thought you were ordering macaroni & cheese?" I pouted.
He chuckled, "well beautiful I changed my mind."
