Way back in high school, I always daydreamed about a perfect date with a guy. What could happen during a date? Are there any rules to abide in dating? Do's and Don'ts? Well, as you can see I'm no expert when it comes to this. Sad to say, until now those questions are still stuck in my head.

I've been to a date with this cute guy when I was 16 but it was terrible. Well, niyaya ako ng isa sa mga crush ko sa high school noon na makipag-date. Hello? Who wouldn't go crazy if it's your crush who asked you to date him, right? I was so damn happy. It was like a fairytale came true.

But that fairytale turned into a disaster when my date dumped me. Hindi niya ako sinipot. I waited for more than an hour on our meeting place until it rained. And then I received a text message from an unknown number saying that my date could not make it. The sender said it was all just a bet if my crush can make me say yes for a date.

And that was my first heartbreak. Simula noon, 'di na ako pumayag makipagdate ng basta basta kahit sa mga manliligaw ko. Isa rin siguro iyon sa mga dahilan kung bakit sila sumusuko sa akin. I have a bad impression about dating at ayaw ko maulit kung anong nangyari noon.

But here I am, going to a date again. This time, it will be with Kyle. I'm afraid what will happen. What if history repeats itself? Baka may mangyari na naman na hindi maganda. I just suck at dating and I'm afraid Kyle would laugh at me.

I was busy looking for something to wear when I heard a knock.

"Maisie, can I come in?"

"No. I'm busy Kyle." Hindi siya pwedeng pumasok. My room is a mess. Ang daming nakakalat na damit, baka isipin niya pang sobrang pinaghandaan ko ang date namin. That would boost his ego.

"Okay. In thirty minutes, aalis na tayo. Hurry up."

Oh shoot! Hindi pa ako nakakapagbihis at wala pa akong napiling isusuot. In the end, I decided to put on a backless lace chiffon navy blue dress and paired it with black pumps. Naglagay ako ng simpleng make-up para di ako maputla tingnan. I brushed my long hair a few times at hinayaan itong nakalugay. I think this would be fine.

Lumabas ako ng kwarto at sinilip 'yong kwarto ni Kyle kung nasa loob pa ba siya. Wala na siya, baka nasa baba na. I slowly went down on the stairs, afraid that I might trip over because of my four inches heels.

Nakita ko si Kyle na naka abang sa paanan ng hagdan. He is wearing his usual gray suit matching it with a white polo inside. But he's not wearing a tie this time at iniwan niyang nakabukas ang dalawang butones ng polo niya. I can smell his male scent which is kinda addicting. His hazel eyes stared at me like a hawk waiting for his prey to go near him.

Bigla kong naalala ang eksena kanina sa kama. I blushed remembering our hot kisses.

"May problema ba?" Winagayway ko ang kamay ko sa harap ng mukha niya. He was pulled back from whatever is keeping him.

"Nothing. Let's go?" Aya niya sabay lagay ng kamay niya sa likod ko. He ushered me to his car and opened the door for me. Oh, the gentleman's code.

Ilang sandali lang ay pumwesto na siya sa driver's seat at binuhay ang makina nito. I was feeling uncomfortable during the whole ride. Negative thoughts from the past slowly poisoning my mind. Ayoko maging nega pero di ko talaga maiwasan. I don't want this date to be a disaster again.

Hindi ko namalayan na nakatingin pala si Kyle sa akin. "Hey. Mabilis kang tatanda niyan. What's up with that face?" He chuckled. I smiled at him to give him reassurance that I am okay.
